We just bought and installed carpets in two bedrooms and a hallway. The sales person was very knowledgeable and friendly. We first decided to go for wooden floor and bought the wood on special sale but then changed our mind. The manager was good enough to allow the change despite the policy once you buy the wood from special sale price (70% sale) ! That was very good and everything else, installation etc was very good. I bought Vinyl flooring and installation from this company. Huge mistake!! Extremely POOR quality installation and frustrating experience. First the measurer did a pathetic job resulting in short material! Then Installation(outsourced) was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The supervisor bullied around the house forcing me to quickly move my stuff right away so they could finish up the job in 1 day (was previously scheduled to be done in 2-3 days). Absolutely ridiculous. I was sold a floor i was told would take 1 to 2 weeks to come in and here we are almost week 5. I figured give this company a try instead of a similar floor ********** had and boy was i dumb for that. Then i call a few times and I'm shoved off the phone "well call when qet it, bye" or "it says delivery sometime this week". Then i call the other day and i find out its on back order and was sold to me while it was on back order and this wasn't even mentioned all to just get the sale. Woman on the phone w... read more

I would not recommend worldwide. We were told our order would be in and completed in 2 to 3 weeks but took over 2 months.. Original salesperson Ron never followed up in anything. Then dealt with Peter who was helpful at first and then stopped returning our calls. I went into the store again asking when our order would be in and dealt with Freddy Botello the manager who was also helpful at first but soon stopped returning our calls.. I would not recommend Worldwide Wholesale Flooring. I was given a quote for flooring by a salesman only to find out that the owner of the store rejected the salesman's price, resulting in what would be a $5,000 increase in the cost of the flooring. 

Business response:

The customer was given a price on a wood floor, he called back a few days later asking about a different floor which was more expensive. Therefore he was given 2 prices for 2 different floors. I apologize for any miscommunication.

Be very cautious. Based on my experience I would not recommend ordering carpet from this store. I placed an order for Masland Carpet from the Fairfield, NJ store based on a sample Worldwide had ordered for me from Masland. Original order was the incorrect color and I thought the sales person corrected the mistake but I am not quite sure. I showed the sample of the carpet I ordered to the first carpet installers and they advised the carpet on their truck for installation was an inferior quality carpet compared to the sample. ... read more

Binding on carpet came apart and requested a refund. Sean the store manager refused a refund or to stand by the product. Only thing he cared about was reselling the carpet. Offered us a refund on the binding of the carpet and a little warranty but what if it happens again, stuck with a rug that falls apart. Do not go to these stores your better off at Home Depot or Target. Not even a one star rating!

Carpet binding is a cloth tape that is sewn on the edge of carpet to make a finished look. although there is no warranty our store manager offered to have it repaired at no charge to the consumer, they wanted a refund ultimately the store manager gave the customer a full refund.

My husband and I recently renovated our new home. We purchased over $30,000 worth of flooring from Worldwide Wholesale Floor Coverings. We were very explicit on what we wanted and needed in flooring since we were replacing the hardwood floors throughout the ENTIRE house. We specifically stated we needed a durable hardwood floor. The salesman recommended Pacific Mahagony since it had a high Janka rating and was more durable than other hardwood floors. We had Worldwide Wholesale Flooring install the floors. Big mistake!! I am very dissatisfied with Worldwide Flooring in Edison. I was charged for items incorrectly. When I called a couple days after initial order, I spoke with someone in the customer service dept. she insisted I was wrong and said although the paperwork shows I was being charged for something, I was definitely not charged. Also they were charging me twice for same item. Finally I called again and asked to speak with a manager.
