Bought carpet for the whole house. It was not exactly a smooth process but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I had to go in multiple times just to get it purchased. The install ending up costing more than the carpet and wasn't the greatest. They quoted 4 days to install for a small house and that's what I was charged for but it only took 2 1/2 days. BEST SELECTION IN THE AREA. I have made several purchases from Flooring America Rapid City and keep coming back! Their selection, especially area rugs (the wife LOVES their large selection and ALWAYS finds something she has to have), as well as carpet, tile, and luxury vinyl tile is amazing. What sets them apart is the customer service. Rod helped us find the perfect floor for our new home. The installer Scott was friendly, on-time, and a true craftsman. We are so happy with the quality, selection, and service.
Terrible customer service. I picked out flooring that was an advertised price. Wasted an entire day matching paint colors to it and then go to order the product and told it was 1.00 more per/sq foot. They had a sticker that showed 3.99 or 4.15. Sq foot. When I asked to speak to the manager he said “there is no way to change stickers out for you people with changes in price occurring often.” Was absolutely degrading and rude to me on the telephone. They seem to make everything difficult throughout the entire process. Customer service was not good, they would not return our calls, and despite my better judgment we finalize our purchase and installation of our LVT with them because I finally found the "perfect" color I wanted. The cost of the installation per Sq ft was also the highest price compared to any of the other 3 places we had looked into but by time they gave us the estimate we felt it was to late to back out.
