DO NOT BUY YOUR FLOORING FROM RITE RUG!!!!!! Last NOVEMBER, we had Rite Rug install our entire first floor with hardwood flooring. Spent a good chunk of change. We had two people measure from Rite Rug. When the second guy arrived, all old flooring had been ripped out. We had never done this before and we were completely relying on their expertise. We had wood flooring installed. Let me tell you the installers did a great job! However, a one day installation turned into a month long ordeal for a very small room. The mistake was on the estimator in ordering the right wood. EVERYTHING HE DID WAS A MISTAKE. Customer service was of no help and continued to pass blame on to each other. I contacted the Store salesman, the store manager, then went to the president, and vice president of this worthless company. Not one person offered an apology. I have to be honest in my review to reflect the utmost disappointment with their work, customer service and responsiveness regarding the hardwood flooring in our home. After completing the extension of existing flooring to other areas of our home in a day or two(Dec 2016) the other finishing work has been pending for the last 2 months. We visited RiteRug on December 30th as we had researched reviews about them and found on some sites, they had received 4 and 5-star ratings. We decided to go to the Broad Street location. When we arrived, there was one employee (Michael D***) sitting with a couple who was purchasing carpet. Rite Rug..."Buyer Beware" Sales staff was helpful at store and when they came out to measure flooring job. Once salesman had completed the measurement process...he presented a quote, but would not provide me a written/document quote for my records. Should have be aware then about what could happen. He stated it was company policy not to provide customer written estimate/quote. I did not sign anything at that time. We had an unpleasant experience with Rite Rug. The Sales people were good, the day of the installation, a crew shows up and no one can speak english. We really felt they should have at least one person who we could communicate with. They trash in my yard and driveway, they covered up 2 vents in a bedroom, they left staples in the carpet which one of my kids stepped on, and also didn't move everything back the way it was supposed to. Rite Rug is terrible to deal with. They schedule appointments and never show up. You can never get anyone to talk to. You always leave a message and they never return your phone call. They are very unprofessional.

Rite Rug has a non-customer oriented policy of paying 100% of the estimated cost (materials and labor) prior to going ahead with the job. I wanted to do a $6000 + job of installing wood flooring and carpeting in 2 rooms and they said they must have all of it paid prior to proceeding. To me, this is a bad policy and is not recommended even by BBB. Other contractors in the area only require 0-25% down prior to proceeding. I called the corporate office and got NO satisfaction. Bad policy.

I would not recommend Rite Rug to anyone. We recently purchased discontinued hardwood flooring form the Rite Rug in Fairborn, Ohio. When the installers came out they would not install the flooring due to it all being pieces about a foot long. We have been trying to get a refund and have been treated very poorly. I realize it was discontinued and final sale however we were misled. A disclaimer should have been given regarding the quality of the wood.
