I visited this facility I toured The Legacy at North Augusta. It had a one-bedroom apartment and a studio. It was a well-run home, a well-run facility. It would have taken care of everything that my sister needed, but the other facility, the view, was what sealed the deal. The sales director was very knowledgeable. She assured me that all of my sister's needs would be taken care of or come under consideration so that they could take care of everything with her. They know what they're doing, and they do it well. They cared ab... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother-in-law was at The Village at Rockville - A National Lutheran Community. It was clean. It's big. It looked a little rundown than the other place. The staff was nice but not necessarily aggressive in therapy. If my mother-in-law pushed back just the tiniest of bits, they backed away. We had to tell them that she couldn't just lay in bed all the time. And no matter how many times we said to take her out to eat at the dining areas, they would bring the food to her. S... read more

I visited this facility My aunt is a resident of The Legacy at North Augusta. The staff is limited because that's the way the world works these days. The family needed to supplement with additional caregivers throughout the day, each day, and so that was an additional cost for them. They just don't have enough staff to maintain that level of care for memory care people who just need 24/7 care. It's not the fault of the company, it's just the way the situation is but I couldn't give them a five because of that. The place is v... read more

I visited this facility I looked at The Village at Orchard Ridge. They're very expensive. They only have one dining room and their food doesn't compare to where I live now. Their staff was very nice. It's very well maintained, but it's relatively new. They do not have the old growth that we have around at the facility I am in. They have a pool and a gym.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My husband was at the Village at Orchard Ridge. They were very welcoming and they gave him very good care. The PT was really good and we liked everything about it, but my husband didn't like the food. There's always room for improvement, but overall, they were excellent. They had a television and walking paths, and they had a selection of library books. The staff was very nice. They met his needs and they were very gracious about it. They just did the best they could. They... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My sister is at The Village at Rockville - A National Lutheran Community for subacute rehab. We chose it because it's attractive and clean, and they took the insurance. They've been great. The staff has been terrific. The food varies, though some of it is pretty unappetizing. A lot of things were shut for COVID and haven't opened yet. They had a cafe, a salon, and a fitness area. It's extremely clean and well- maintained. Medicare is paying for it. There's a shopping cente... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The apartments at The Legacy are incredibly spacious! I have not been able to find any other apartments like them at any Assisted Living communities in the Staunton area. My family has had good interactions with the staff. Stanford and Kate were VERY helpful with moving mom on tight timeline. And the front desk folks have been nothing but kind and welcoming. Mom loves sitting outside on the beautiful patio out back.

I visited this facility I toured The Village at Orchard Ridge. It was exceptional. It was very, very good. It was very thorough. The community is beautiful. It offers a lot. The staff was extremely helpful and patient. The process of getting someone in is quite cumbersome, but understandable at the same time. The staff who gave the tour was extremely knowledgeable, very forthright and direct with the information, and very personable and understanding. The apartments were beautiful, well-kept and clean, and most impressively,... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Mom was at The Village at Rockville - A National Lutheran Community. She wasn't there long. For that short period of time, it was even a far better experience than I had in other places. It was cleaner, more stable, and nicer. She was in hospice, and it was a better environment for her. There was a lot of privacy in the rooms, and there wasn't a lot of chaos in the hallways. It was sort of like a small hospital. The rooms were well-appointed. They came in and changed all y... read more
