I visited this facility I visited The Legacy of North Augusta. Two things stand out in my mind. One is that in the common area (and this was about mid-afternoon), there were about six residents. There was a TV on, but four of the six were sound asleep in reclining chairs. There was no activity going on. They were not interacting with each other. They were not interacting with staff. I was not impressed with that. Another thing is that during that time, the only staff member I saw was the one that was taking me on a tour. The... read more

I visited this facility The Village at Rockville-A National Lutheran Community was very nice, but the room itself was just a room with a bathroom. So for the price, it just didn't seem adequate. Other than that, it's a beautiful, big facility with a very nice cafe. They had a worship chapel, different clubs, other rooms for the seniors to be entertained, and a library. The lady who gave the tour was very nice, very polite, and also helpful about giving suggestions that there may be some community or faith-based assistance wi... read more

I am/was a resident of this facility I was at The Village At Orchard Ridge from 2016 to 2020. I've been there recently; I've had friends there. They had a really great exercise program and probably some of the best instructors I've seen. Now, of course, COVID hit and changed a lot of things, but I'm talking about prior things. Before that, they had a wonderful concierge, and the people were very informed. They had a gorgeous gift shop there. They had a beautiful pub and a dining area there. It's very, very beautiful there an... read more

I visited this facility I toured The Village at Rockville and it's a fabulous community. They're expanding. They don't have any 2-bedrooms available, but they made a lot of cottages. They're not within the bounds of the community and you have to take a bus to go anywhere. The food is great. They have about 4-6 restaurants and they have long hours, like from 11 to 2 for meals. The staff comes in and cleans every two weeks for no charge. They have a lot of fun activities and elevators to take you wherever you have to go. It ha... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My parents were in rehab in The Village at Rockville. It's a great place, lots of staff, very well run, but way too many people. It's a huge place. They love the food there. They had tons of activities during pre-pandemic. They have six floors. If they for any reason had to go back, that's my choice would be in Maryland, to put them back there. It's ten minutes from my sister's house and five minutes from the hospital.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The Legacy at North Augusta was wonderful. I saw a one-bedroom apartment. The common areas were very nice. They had a library, an activities room, a beauty shop, and a beautiful dining room. I had a sample meal, and it was very lovely. We were there on a tour and to visit with a friend's father. I didn't see an exercise room, and I don't know about their planned activities. I only interacted with a couple of people there, and they were very nice. The one thing about this p... read more

I visited this facility I have chosen The Village at Orchard Ridge. It has a beautiful chapel, it's run by the Lutheran ministries, and it's got a spirituality about it. It's also in a beautiful location, the staff is fantastic, and they have an awful lot of activities. It's a place you go to retire, not a place to die. The rooms they have are more than adequate. We like it is because it's a continuing care place, so you move into independent living and then you graduate to whatever you need. The levels of care are delivered... read more

I visited this facility The Village at Orchard Ridge is very nice, and it had amenities that the other places I looked at did not. Their employees are very nice, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. It's like a half-mile back from the road, so you have to drive half a mile through a nice landscaped road to get to the place. It's like two miles from Winchester Medical Center and five minutes from Walmart. I couldn't begin to list their activities and amenities, there are just too many. They have a full schedule of anythi... read more

I visited this facility The Village at Orchard Ridge was a ginormous facility that I felt was too overwhelming for my uncle. It was huge. The rooms were large and everything about it was big. The staff seemed terrific. It was a beautiful facility, but it was just way more than my uncle needed.
