My mother, Annie Pepe was a resident of Ozanam Hall for over 6 years. While there, the care she received was excellent. Both from the nursing staff, home health aids and the social workers. My mom passed on October 12th. At her side were two nuns who prayed for her till she passed. My mother enjoyed her time at Ozanam and my wife and I have many good memories of the time she had there. We can never express in words the feeling we have for all staff at Ozanam. Thank you and may God bless you all. Dominick & Nancy Pepe

Mom had been in several facilities for short term rehab over the last few years and our experience was not good. We even moved her from one facility to another due to such awful care, such as being told to use a diaper when she was completely continent but recovering from surgery following a fractured hip. Last winter, despite all of our efforts to care for her at home, the beginnings of dementia and severe arthritis made it increasingly difficult and unsafe for her to be managed at home. She was hospitalized for a UTI and... read more

I heard they bring in aides from outside agencies. New faces everyday can be confusing.

My Sister was a resident at Ozanam Hall Nursing in Queens NY for over 8 years . She had the most beautiful life at this nursing home. Her quality of life improved once she moved into the 7th floor. The nurses, Cnas, Activity Staff environmental service Staff, Dietary Staff and PT staff all went out of their way to make her life happy and fulfilled. The compassionate loving care the Carmelite Sisters gave to my SIster was truly miraculous. During her final hours they sat at her bedside while reciting the rosary. I will foreve... read more

I spent 6 1/2 weeks as a rehabilitation patient at Ozanam Hall in April and May of 2024 for a fractured wrist and hip. I entered Ozanam Hall directly from the hospital and noted the facility was spotless. The rehabilitation team directed by Margaret White was the best. I received excellent PT and OT rehabilitation treatment from Margaret, Mary Jane, and Daisy and credit them with my success in gaining strength and independence each day. I am now back at home and making great strides and I would not be where I am today if not... read more

My husband spent three months as a rehabilitation patient at Ozanam Hall. He was admitted following surgery for a badly broken ankle. In that time he went from being bed-bound to walking comfortably with a rollator. The rehabilitation he received was incredible. His therapists were patient and willing to modify exercises and routines to make them work for him. Attention was paid to his suggestions for things he wanted to try. The nurses were always kind and understanding. They knew his routines and made him as comfortable as... read more

A wonderful facility. My mother is very well taken care of physically, but her interaction with the staff is what enables me to sleep well. The Aides are very patient and loving to her, always a warm hello / kind word. The Nurses are on top of her care in all aspects. The Nuns are warm, friendly and know each patient on her floor. Mom has made some friends with whom she eats her meals in the dining room. What started as a very stressful decision I had to make has turned out to be a blessing for both of us.
