My father has been at Oznam for 4 years. In my opinion, this is the best elder care available for Roman Catholics as they provide support for the body and the soul. My Dad is well cared for, he enjoys the food, his living space is kept clean and orderly. Highly recommended.
Such a loving and caring facility. I have never met a more passionate, understanding and giving staff. The main goal here is treating their residents with dignity, compassion and love.... Thank you for all you do Carmelite sister of Ozanam Hall
My mother has only been here for two days and the staff here have been very kind and caring. She is here for restorative physical therapy and each person I've met has treated her with the utmost respect and kindness.
My step grandfather has been here for a few months now and we are very grateful for and happy with this nursing home. Everyone is kind and caring. They never hesitate to get whatever my step grandfather needs; they place their residents first all the time. My step father is very happy with this place and how they treat his father. They have physical therapy here as well for the residents. This place is an excellent nursing home facility.
This place has improved quite a bit. The staff really tried to make your every need met. The only compaint I have is their oxygen equipment needs updating. My Mom has to be on oxygen 24/7 and they have portable concentrators that keep breaking down. The one my Mom has now works but is so loud you can barely have a conversation. I asked for another and they said there are no more. We will pray for a new one. God bless the work they do.
If you live around the block and can be there before and after work EACH DAY to make sure your person is ok, then try it because it is very difficult to park in that neighborhood also. I've had many friends and relatives there and in the past decade although newly decorated, the food, quantity and in some cases quality of staff have gone down hill. Since money is,short there, they went to cheaper suppliers and for a year I spent $40 a week on disposable underwear that was the correct size. Since the cost of Ozanam was then $... read more
Has declined greatly in the past decade! Beware if you think it resembles anything like in the late eighties or early nineties as I meet some elderly who reminisce when their parents were there. The place was refurbished but not the home it once was. Most staff do the best they can but they are honestly overworked (and underpaid). Try help at home for as long as you possibly can! Wish I could speak to each and everyone of you "shopping". Their rehab for short-term isn't awful IF the resident can deal with the elevator... read more
This is simply the best skilled nursing facility in the region. if someone you love requires long term care and you can`t do it your self this is the one you are looking for.
Excellent rehabilitative care for my 96 year old mom after she suffered a fractured pelvis. Pet-friendly, great activities, physical therapy is top notch. Very clean compared to other facilities I toured before placing mom in Ozanam Hall. Looks old fashioned in terms of decor and a lot of Catholic ornaments and paintings. Run by Carmelite nuns but don't let that stop you. We are not Catholic but grateful for the caring mission of these nuns.
