Rite Rug has a non-customer oriented policy of paying 100% of the estimated cost (materials and labor) prior to going ahead with the job. I wanted to do a $6000 + job of installing wood flooring and carpeting in 2 rooms and they said they must have all of it paid prior to proceeding. To me, this is a bad policy and is not recommended even by BBB. Other contractors in the area only require 0-25% down prior to proceeding. I called the corporate office and got NO satisfaction. Bad policy.
I would not recommend Rite Rug to anyone. We recently purchased discontinued hardwood flooring form the Rite Rug in Fairborn, Ohio. When the installers came out they would not install the flooring due to it all being pieces about a foot long. We have been trying to get a refund and have been treated very poorly. I realize it was discontinued and final sale however we were misled. A disclaimer should have been given regarding the quality of the wood. Lesson learned do not do business with Rite Rug and should have opened all t... read more
Believe the terrible reviews you read here. My experience with Rite Rug was also terrible with similar issues to other customers - sales person promised all kinds of things that the workers could not do; job had to be done and redone and redone multiple times and finally we accepted an unacceptable result just to be done with them. I don't know how they stay in business with all the reworks they had to do.
I am writing to complain about a salesman named Dan B***** at the East Broad St in Columbus, Ohio. When he came out to measure he should have let me know THEN that vinyl flooring was NOT a good idea to put in the kitchen because of the tearing factor. The installers tore the flooring as they put the empty dryer back that we found after they left. We tore the flooring after we reconnected the ice machine to the refrigerator. Dan should have let us know that vinyl was not the flooring to put in the kitchen where I will be movi... read more
Rite Rug is the absolute worst company to work with! My builder ******** chose this wretched company and it has been problems from day one. Rite Rug didn't take the time to make sure the concrete slab was level before installing resilient tile on top of it. Now I have divots all over my kitchen floor showing all of the imperfections in the concrete slab that right rug should have prepped with leveling grout before installing the flooring. In addition, the tile in my master bathroom was installed so poorly, a child could have... read more
Steve B****** was my salesmen The first problem was I had to call multiple times to see if my carpet was in... By the time it finally came in it has been there for over a week and NOBODY called to even let me know! But your policy is PAY in full ?? Why so you can do what you want and within the time YOU please? really is this customer service ? By the time they finally came out to install they did a great job EXCEPT my carpet I ordered and paid for wasn't even cut and ready... So the installer called the store and obviously ... read more
My Experience with Rite Rug in ********** ** was very bad when it came to the installation of the Carpets. The job was very bad, that the carpets had glue in different spaces, many air bubbles and the seams were clearly showing and spaced out. Called Rite Rug and for three times they sent the same installer to fix it and they couldn't. Finally the decision was made to replace the carpet, yet they sent the same installer. We were told that the installer will take care of moving the furniture, but we need to move all the small... read more
