We purchased a **** **** and werr told to go to rite rug to make our selection of carpet. They sold us on a $2500 upgrade and ensured us the quality was much better and carpet would last about 10 years. The carpet always felt as if we were walking on hard floor and 6 months in i had tgem come out to make sure we got the upgraded padding and carpet because it was showing wear. BUYER BEWARE! The attitudes, customer service and business practices of this company are deplorable. We decided to use this company when we were about to sell our home to fix our kitchen floor. Our realtor suggested them for speed and for the fact that we would get a realtor discount. The rest is downhill from there. The man who came out to measure and quote everything never gave us any type of contract. He never even mentioned it. He said that it would all be taken care of. I just had approximately $8,000 worth of flooring installed on Oct 2 & 3. The carpeting looks nice, but the vinyl flooring is not good. I have contacted them for repair and even stopped payment on the vinyl portion of the invoice. Six weeks later, my floor is still a mess. The vinyl does not go to the wall as there is a gap. The basboard isn't completed all the way around and has big globs of caulking stuck on the outside in the corners. I am sorry I had these people do the work. We just recently bought carpet and vinyl wood flooring from Riterug and we love the carpet and flooring both. The installers were polite and professional and got the job done in the allotted time. Our problem came when they left and we started looking around at our new flooring and noticed scratches to our baseboards. Upon further inspection we came up with a total of about 21 scratches to the baseboards. Then looking up the walls we also noticed 3 areas where they had punctured the drywall. The sale was easy -- we had a couple of issues, which were ultimately resolved, however follow-up from the sales person was almost non-existent. There was no follow-up, almost no call backs, and the "promise" the issue was being handled wasn't necessarily the case. We finally started working directly with customer service because of the total lack of service we weren't receiving from the Newark store. We had new tile (floating floor) installed in our kitchen and entry way in February, 2018. The tile took 12 hours to install. In May, 2018, we noticed gaps where the tiles snapped together and contacted the company. An installation manager was dispatched and said it was not an installation issue, it was faulty product from Shaw. Shaw sent a manufacturer's rep who said it was not an issue with the product, it was an issue with the support beams of our floor. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They have been to my house four times and still haven't gotten my carpet installation correct. On the initial installment, the installers left the strip exposed with the nails on the stairs where it not only looked terrible but it was a health hazard. When I called to get someone to come back and fix this problem, it was very difficult to get the company to schedule an appointment. Oh my gosh! I had 6 rugs made from Stanton carpet. After about a year a problem presented itself, but the “warranty” was over. Decided to call and see if anything could be done and reached Heather S. who was the most caring, understanding person i’ve ever spoken with on a customer service issue anywhere.
