I had a great experience with the purchase and installation of my flooring. When I was at the showroom there wasn't any pressure to make a purchase which was lovely! Cary went over our flooring needs and honestly helped us make the best choice. Jake did our installation and I've gotten tons of compliments on his work!
We chose Universal for the flooring in our new finished basement. We had ceramic tile in the bathroom and bar area, vinyl in the workout room and carpet in the remaining area. We are extremely pleased with the quality and workmanship for all of it. Cary helped with with the carpet and tile decisions. We highly recommend Universal Capet.
I contacted Larry Mentz with an unusual request - that a very large (11X24) area rug be cut and bound for me. I wanted a very thick, "cushiony" rug because of my foot and leg problems, and Larry took a great deal of time both in my home, and in the store, in picking out the right kind of carpet for me, the best kind of pad, and just the right color. I met Cary from Universal Carpet as a result of a basement renovation project. I laughed when he told me he was referred to as the "Vinyl King." I have used Universal Carpet and worked with owner Cary Saar on two different occasions.The workmanship and service is impeccable. I bought carpeting both times about 3 years apart, and I noticed it was the same 2 guys doing the install. They did a fantastic job each time and even touched up an area that wasn't their product. They moved furniture and even took away the old carpet.
