We were sourcing a patterned carpet to replace a pattern carpet in our Georgian style house that was outdated. We visited another carpet provider in Elgin and was less than pleased with their ZERO follow up from our meeting even though we requested a follow up. They then presented a quote on the style we liked but when I cross checked it by getting another estimate from Universal Carpet Cary came in nearly $800+ less. We got quotes from lots of flooring companies including Empire and Luna. My wife and I both would always prefer to by from someone local if possible. We found Universal after a google search and went and met with Larry. He was knowledgeable and extremely helpful with determining what product was best for us. We had a wonderful experience with Universal. I would highly recommend them. The installers were prompt, friendly, and took great care with the moving of our furniture. Cary gave us the best price around and was able to schedule our installation very quickly.
We had a great experience purchasing our carpet from Universal. Their pricing was what sold us, but we got so much more for our money with the great customer service and excellent installation from Jake & Joell. The carpet looks and feels great, and I would definetly recommend Universal.

Jake the installer was friendly, professional and did an excellent job. I found Universal after a horrible experience with one of those TV advertised companies. Universal was easy to work with, met my time needs and provided great quality carpet.
The Universal Team is great to work with. I had a lot of questions during the selection process and Cary was able to explain the pros and cons of the various options, helping me come to a good decision. I had both carpet and vinyl installed—both installation teams were very courteous and cleaned up after the job was complete.
