The overall experience with Universal was excellent. When we first visited the store we had shopped the big box stores and a couple of carpets stores in Crystal Lake,Algonquin, and Cary. All aspects of my flooring experience with Universal Carpet were excellent. The customer service and patience during the initial decision process to choose the products that best suited me and my house was great. Also the installation was of excellent quality. I will be recommending Universal to others in my area.
I did my homework and chose Universal because of their great reviews... I wasn't disappointed..they did a top notch job of helping me choose the hardwood wood flooring, their installers were the best I have ever had... when they left, I had beautiful floors and so clean, you wouldn't know they had been there..they were also the best price of my three estimates... you can't find a better company to go with and I am hard to please.. fabulous job Cary... and thank you Dawn. You made it sooooo easy
From beginning to end it was a positive experience. Cary took time to show us a good selection. His crew was professional and did work in a timely manner and left the condo spotless.
I had Universal Carpet for new flooring in my kitchen and bath and new carpeting in my living/dining area and bedrooms. I also had my tub converted to a walk-in shower. Cary helped me pick out the products and gave me a great price quote. Chris, Robert, Jake, and Josh provided excellent work/installation. Everything looks beautiful! I love it!
We had a wonderful experience with Universal. Larry was extremely helpful and patient with us while we picked out our flooring. The installers did a wonderful job and didn't leave a mess. The carpet and vinyl planking look great. I highly recommend Universal, it is the only place I will ever purchase flooring.
Visited store in south Elgin. Larry was very helpful in showing me samples from what I described needed. He was courteous and showed an interest in what I wanted. I brought home a sample I thought would work with my furnishings. When I took it back I advised him I was not ready for installation as I had other work going on in the home. He said when I was ready he could come out and measure the living room. When I was ready he came to the house, the carpet came in ahead of expected. Universal Carpet did a great job for a good price. Their service is first rate from Larry who helped us select the right carpet and pad to Josh and Jake who installed it. Larry took the extra time to measure and estimate the work carefully. This kept the cost down and helped with installation. Josh and Jake did a very clean and professional job.
