They did a flooring installation job for *********** The job was supposed to take 2 days but took 4. Part of the delay was understandable. After removing the carpet, they found that two sections of the plywood sub floor was raised up. They had to remove these two pieces and shave down the underlying beam. They then replaced the two pieces. I was told that they needed to put down a second layer of plywood over the most of the flooring area, about 450 sq ft. There was one other section of the sub floor that seemed a bit spring... read more

Absolutely the worst company I ever dealt with. They canceled me twice on the same day after waiting 5 hours. Sent someone at 6 Pm and he said its to late to do anything. The only reason my job is complete is because I threatened to *** them. They subcontract and jungle install dates like there playing ping pong. Not a professional company. 0 stars is there rating. Ho..De uses them.

Through *********** American Carpet South (ACS) was assigned to my flooring project. ACS was to remove old tile, from the kitchen, powder room and laundry area, and set new slate tile. They were to remove and reinstall all appliances, with exception to the dishwasher. They were also contracted to remove and install a new toilet. The slate work was done very well. The installer was curious why he, a tile guy, was tasked with plumbing work. When he was done the project, he reconnected all the appliances they disconnected a few... read more

We had to deal with this company after placing an order with *************** What a curse! The company is very unprofessional. We had an installation date which we confirmed a few days ago, after trying for a day and a half of trying to get somebody to answer the phones. So, they called us the night before, leaving a voice mail saying that they are not coming, and without offering an alternate date. So, now we have all the house in a mess; beds disassembled, closets emptied, sofas moved to the garage, etc. and without having a... read more

We ordered flooring through ********** and ACS was to come do the install. They called and said there were coming on 9/27/21. They never called again right before to confirm but since we assumed there we were coming since they said they would, we moved the washer and dryer and any other furniture to prepare for the install. They never showed. I was on the phone for the whole day and the whole next day trying to get resolution which was nothing more than telling me the best they could do is come out the second week of October... read more

They cancelled on me. After waiting months. Have had other work done by them, carpets, they did fine, installed them, scratched up my hall way and bedroom walls enough i had to repaint sections. It's more the company that's an issue than the people doing the installation. The company calls 3 times a day and sends a 30 emails about the appt then cancels and claims it's due to lack of workers....but if that's the case then how did i have an appt in the first place?

ACS is the sub-contractor for ************ vinyl floor installation in my area. It seems that ACS then sub-sub-contracts to a local crew. My flooring looks good, but there were many issues as noted:1. The installers had no signage on their van 2. Their shirts simply said Floor Installer 3. They did not wear masks 4. The first guy that arrived seemed confused and didn't seem to know where the flooring was going. 5. They broke a wind chime and didn't say anything 6. They cut phone line that was coming up through the floor and ... read more

Below is what ACS says, the installers came unmasked and without foot coverings, the initial job was poor and the return job was equally bad; again, installer came unmasked when asked to put on a mask he asked if we had one, no foot coverings, and blamed us for the way the job was looking; they were rude and unpleasant as was the company upon contact.Today, in the unprecedented circumstances brought on by ******19, we are doing business differently. We are following the ******19: ********** Safety Protocol to support the safe... read more

I wish I had read these reviews before working with American Carpet South. I purchased vinyl flooring through ********** to replace my carpet in a small 600 sq ft two-room condo. ********** subbed the job to American Carpet South. ACS came and removed the carpet and said my concrete floor was too uneven and they just took off and said, "tough luck" leaving me with a concrete floor and boxes of unused vinyl flooring and no idea what to do next. The contract stated that there could be an extra charge for leveling a floor. I've ... read more
