Terrible company!!!! They messed up my install months ago and am still going back and forth with them trying to get it fixed. Trying to sell my house and have had buyers walk away because of the bubbling laminate floors. I have wasted so much time and money because of this company. Home depot contracts with them. DO NOT USE THEM.
ACS is definitely not a company anyone would want to deal with. In my opinion they entire workforce which I had the unfortunate experience to deal with , were very unreliable. They promise everything but do nothing!!!! Cannot believe that Home Depot used this firm to install their carpets.
PLEASE DO NOT USE AMERICAN CARPET SOUTH! Their customer service representatives incorrectly scheduled an appointment prior to the product's arrival, so the installation was delayed (the first of several delays). Upon arrival, the product was severely damaged, but they proceeded to "try to make it work" anyway. Customer service representatives apologized for the inconvenience (i.e. poor quality service, damaged product, and repeated delays) and verbally agreed to reorder and reinstall. I would avoid this company at all costs! They do not show up when they are scheduled - this has happened 3 times. They were contracted through **** ***** to install 3 new tile bathrooms floors. The first 2 went ok. The third was a nightmare! The crew they sent put the floor in so horribly that the whole thing had to be ripped out. They left my house a mess, they blew out my electric outlet in the bathroom they were working in, cut tile IN THE HOUSE instead of in my garage as request, the list goes on and on. Very dissatisfied with the installation. The carpet installers gouged up our beautiful custom woodwork, they installed flawed carpet and installed the wrong pad in one bedroom. The installation on the stairs was not done correctly, not measured correctly and the binding is full of holes. Both bedrooms have major flaws running through the carpet. Horribly unprofessional company. Home Depot sub-contracts with them for flooring installations. They recently installed laminate flooring in my living room and carpet in another part of my home. The flooring installers left two significant holes in the walls - they only admitted to one - I found the second one after they left. Although ACS initially said they would fix the holes, they never followed up. When I spoke to a manager from ACS on the day of the install, he asked me if I had a husband who could just fix it for me.... read more
My complaint against American Carpet is there failure to meet the contracts installation time guarantee. As a matter of fact they missed it by about 2 weeks. While they admitted the mistake was all there's they failed to offer any compensation for my missed work or time spent trying to resolve this issue.
American Carpet South will not provide a quality work - they will break and steal your property then American Carpet South will lie and deny it. I do not recommend using them if you do - you better watch them. Also Home Depot sub-contracts work to American Carpet South - you are better off going to ***** or *******
In the middle of the summer I had an install done by American Carpet South through Home Depot. We have decided to do a backsplash install and paid a lot of money. For the amount that we have paid we have expected a great job from start to finish. Well I think it will be our last install through Home Depot. I would have done a better job probably myself.
