Weekly Product Release Notes | October 30 and November 2, 2026

Social

Feature Enhancements

Google CTA in Social Publishing Agent

  • What changed: Added support for configuring a Google call-to-action (CTA) button — such as Book, Order online, Buy, Learn more, Sign up, or Call now — directly within the Social Publishing Agent, so it's applied automatically to every Google Business Profile post the agent generates.
  • Why it matters: Posts published without a CTA get fewer clicks and conversions; this closes that gap so posts generated through the agent perform the same as manually built ones.
  • How to check it out: In the Social Publishing Agent's content settings, choose a Google CTA type and destination URL — it will apply to every GBP post the agent generates and show up in the preview before publishing.

Applicable to Direct clients only

15-Minute Scheduling Interval

  • What changed: Added a 15-minute interval option in the Social Publishing Agent when scheduling social posts, alongside the existing scheduling intervals.
  • Why it matters: Gives finer control over posting cadence for businesses that want tighter spacing between posts than was previously possible.
  • How to check it out: When configuring the Run schedule option in the Social Publishing Agent, you can now choose 15-minute intervals alongside the existing options.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Publishing Agent Simplification

  • What changed: Simplified how the social publishing agent handles posting frequency — splitting "posts per week" and "posts per month" into independent settings that carry through consistently from scheduling to content generation, with post counts distributed evenly across the month.
  • Why it matters: Makes social posting schedules more predictable and easier to reason about, reducing mismatches between what was configured and what actually gets posted.
  • How to check it out: In social publishing agent settings, frequency settings now reflect weekly or monthly cadence consistently throughout.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Listings

Feature Enhancement

Facebook Publishing Restricted for Service Area Businesses

  • What changed: Facebook listing publishing is now blocked for Service Area Businesses (where "Hide Address" is enabled), matching how Apple already handles these profiles — with the same status and messaging shown instead.
  • Why it matters: Prevents hidden address information from being exposed or mishandled on Facebook, and gives consistent behavior across publishers instead of Facebook behaving differently than Apple.
  • How to check it out: In Settings > Business > Manage your business profile page, on a Service Area Business profile with "Hide Address" enabled, Facebook publishing now shows the same restricted status used for Apple.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Bulk Import: Consolidated Validation Errors

  • What changed: Bulk Import now runs all validation checks in a single pass and returns every error found at once, instead of stopping at the first failure and requiring repeated re-uploads to discover issues one at a time.
  • Why it matters: Saves significant time on large bulk uploads — businesses can see and fix everything that needs correcting in one pass instead of a slow trial-and-error loop.
  • How to check it out: Upload a bulk import file with multiple issues — all validation errors will now show together in a single response.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Content Hub

New Capabilities

Chat History in Copilot

  • What changed: Added chat history to Birdeye Copilot, letting users view and revisit their previous conversations instead of starting fresh each time.
  • Why it matters: Lets users pick up past conversations, re-reference earlier answers, and continue workflows without repeating themselves.
  • How to check it out: In Copilot, open chat history to browse and resume previous conversations.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Knowledge Base Context in Blog Agent

  • What changed: The blog agent can now use a business's existing knowledge base — internal links and PDFs — plus its sitemap, as context when generating blog posts, including automatically suggesting or inserting relevant internal links.
  • Why it matters: Produces blog content that's more accurate to the business's own offerings and naturally links to relevant pages, instead of generic content with no internal linking.
  • How to check it out: When generating a blog with the blog agent, choose which PDFs or internal links to include as context; relevant internal links will be suggested automatically.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Surveys

New Capability

Quick Send Custom Fields

  • What changed: Custom fields can now include custom fields in Quick Send, so that data attaches to the resulting survey or review response.
  • Why it matters: Lets teams that rely on Quick Send keep using their custom fields instead of losing that data when sending outside of a full campaign.
  • How to check it out: When using Quick Send, custom fields are now available to include and will be attached to the response.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Platform

Feature Enhancement

Brand Identity V3 for Reseller Accounts

  • What changed: Reseller accounts and their locations are being migrated to Brand Identity V3 — Birdeye's AI-generated brand profile system. Entering a business's website URL automatically generates a full brand profile covering business overview, target customers, market positioning, style & voice, logos, fonts, media, and industry-based guardrails. This profile becomes the single source of truth driving AI-generated content across review responses, social posts, marketing campaigns, Search AI content, chatbots, and AI agents.
  • Why it matters: Gives reseller-managed businesses the same centralized, AI-generated branding experience already available elsewhere on the platform, so AI-generated content stays consistent and on-brand across every product it touches — instead of relying on a more limited or manual setup.
  • How to check it out: This migration is being rolled out directly by the Birdeye team for reseller accounts. Once migrated, go to Settings → Brand Identity (under the BirdAI section) to review and edit the generated profile — including Brand Profile, Target Customers, Style and Voice, Media, and Guardrails — for each location.

November 2 Launches

The items below will go live on November 2, 2026.

AI Search

New Capabilities

Brand Recommendations

  • What changed: Added brand-level recommendations within AI Search's Recommendation Intelligence, in addition to the existing location-level recommendations.
  • Why it matters: Gives multi-location brands actionable recommendations at the brand level, instead of only per individual location.
  • How to check it out: In AI Search's Recommendation Intelligence, brand-level recommendations now appear alongside location-level ones. Make sure you have brand-level scans enabled on your account.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Multi-Brand Recommendations

  • What changed: Extended Recommendation Intelligence to support single-brand and multi-brand scenarios, carrying brand context through configuration, generation, and XLS/PDF reporting.
  • Why it matters: Businesses managing multiple brands get recommendations correctly scoped and separated by brand.
  • How to check it out: In Recommendation Intelligence reporting, brand-level data now appears correctly grouped in the UI and in XLS/PDF exports.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Competitor Modules Integration

  • What changed: AI Search now automatically pulls in competitors from the Competitors module (if purchased) as defaults, with the ability for users to modify them, plus surfaces "emerging competitors" ranking high on tracked prompts so they can be added if relevant.
  • Why it matters: Removes the manual setup step of defining competitors from scratch, and helps businesses catch new competitors they may not have been tracking.
  • How to check it out: In AI Search competitor settings, default competitors are now pre-populated from your Competitors module, with emerging competitor suggestions shown alongside them.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Feature Enhancements

Competitor Configuration Setting

  • What changed: Added a setting (in Reports settings) to choose how competitors are tracked in AI Search reports — either show all competitors found by the AI, or only the competitors explicitly set up.
  • Why it matters: Gives businesses control over whether competitor reporting reflects everything the AI finds or just a curated list they care about.
  • How to check it out: In Reports settings, choose between "Show all competitors" or "Show only setup competitors."

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Ranking Intelligence: Ranking Reports and Sentiment Analysis

  • What changed: Added Ranking Intelligence to AI Search, showing how your business ranks against competitors in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and Claude. Ranking is reported at the prompt, theme, brand, and location levels, with competitor comparisons and the signals that influence rankings. Each prompt response is also classified as positive, neutral, or negative, so you can see how AI platforms talk about you as well as where you appear.
  • Why it matters: Gives teams one view of AI search ranking and factors that influence this ranking, so they can find where competitors outrank them or where AI answers frame them negatively, and track progress over time without pulling data together manually.
  • How to check it out: In AI Search, open the Ranking report view to see ranking overview, competitor comparisons, and sentiment. Use the filters to narrow by platform, theme, prompt, brand, or location, then use the download, email, or schedule options to share reports.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Reseller billing changes for AI Search

  • What changed: Resellers on prompt-based pricing are now billed on the prompts their businesses actually use, not on the prompts allocated to those businesses. Resellers with a contracted minimum are billed the higher of that minimum or their actual usage. Resellers already on prompt-based pricing will be billed on usage starting with their next billing cycle.
  • Why it matters: Resellers pay for what their businesses consume, so allocating prompts generously to child businesses no longer drives up the bill. Contracted minimums still apply, which keeps billing predictable.
  • How to check it out: IBilling follows automatically from your next billing cycle. To see how many prompts have been used, open the AI Search usage screen.

Applicable to Partners only

More Granular, Actionable Recommendations

  • What changed: AI Search now looks at your online visibility, your website, and your competitors to generate location-specific recommendations for improving your AI visibility. Open any recommendation to see why it was made, the exact steps to take, and the expected lift in your visibility score, citation share, and other metrics.
  • Why it matters: Recommendations now tell you what to do and what you’ll get for it, so teams can prioritize the actions with the biggest expected impact for each location instead of working from general guidance.
  • How to check it out: In AI Search, open Recommendations and choose any recommendation to see the reasoning, action steps, and expected impact.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Weekly/Monthly Brand Health Report

  • What changed: Added a recurring Brand Health Report that can be delivered weekly or monthly.
  • Why it matters: Gives businesses an ongoing pulse on brand health without needing to manually pull a report each time.
  • How to check it out: In Reports, set up the Brand Health Report on a weekly or monthly schedule.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Platform

New Capabilities

Reseller Custom Favicon

  • What changed: Resellers and Sub-Resellers can now upload their own custom favicon (32×32px, auto-resized), with inheritance down the hierarchy — Sub-Reseller favicon → Parent Reseller favicon → Birdeye default.
  • Why it matters: Gives white-label partners full branding control down to the browser tab, instead of showing Birdeye's default icon.
  • How to check it out: In Reseller Branding / Company Details, open the new Favicon section to upload, preview, or remove a custom favicon.

Applicable to Partners only

Platform Localization - Multi-Language Support

  • What changed: Birdeye will support working in multiple languages — starting with French, Spanish, and German — letting users set their own preferred language across the platform. For content generated by users like review response, social comments, and survey feedback, Birdeye shows a translated version by default with a “show original” option to switch back to the source language. Templates of email, newsletter etc remain in the language it was generated in.
  • Why it matters: Teams can work in Birdeye in the language they’re most comfortable with, and businesses serving non-English-speaking customers can read and act on feedback in their preferred language without losing access to the original wording.
  • How to check it out: Users can request to support set their language from their profile/avatar dropdown, and admins can set it for other users via User Management. Localization is available across the platform’s menus, labels, tooltips, CTAs, and notifications.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Surveys

New Capabilities

Survey Tagging — Manual Tagging & API

  • What changed: Added tag management and manual tagging for survey responses — admins can add/edit tags (name + description) and apply or remove tags on individual survey responses, including via API.
  • Why it matters: Brings Surveys to parity with Reviews' tagging system, letting teams categorize and route survey feedback by theme instead of relying only on score-based filtering.
  • How to check it out: In Surveys, choose the survey response and use the new "Manage Tags" option, then apply tags directly on individual survey responses.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Survey Tagging Agent

  • What changed: Added an AI agent that automatically tags new survey responses — it classifies the response's free-text answers, rating, and source against business-chosen tags and applies up to 2 matching tags without manual input.
  • Why it matters: Automates the categorization enabled by manual tagging (V2BIRD-29809), so detractor feedback gets routed and grouped by theme without tagging each response by hand.
  • How to check it out: Configure and enable the Survey Tagging Agent in Surveys and choose which tags it should consider; it tags new responses automatically going forward.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Listings

New Capabilities

Centralized Related Profiles Configuration

  • What changed: Added a dedicated "Related Profiles Configuration" section on the business profile for managing relationships between profiles (e.g., a doctor affiliated with a hospital) and directory-specific identifiers (like Google Place ID or Bing Store Code), which now get included when publishing to external directories.
  • Why it matters: Gives businesses with linked locations (healthcare systems, franchises, multi-brand groups) a single place to manage those relationships instead of scattering them across directory-specific settings.
  • How to check it out: On a business profile, look for the new Related Profiles Configuration section.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Feature Enhancements

Apple Brand Mapping & Unified Status View

  • What changed: The Apple Listings Publish Status screen now shows brand mapping status (Mapped/Not Mapped) directly, with the ability to map a brand to an unmapped location — including in bulk — without leaving that screen. A new Apple Listings snapshot screen is also available under Listings Settings.
  • Why it matters: Removes the need to jump between separate screens to fix unmapped Apple listings, making self-service Apple listing management much easier.
  • How to check it out: On the Apple Listings Publish Status screen, check the new brand mapping status and use the new mapping (including bulk mapping) options.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Google Address Normalization for Location Edits

  • What changed: Location edits submitted via file import or API are now validated and normalized against Google's address data, with latitude/longitude auto-populated or corrected to match the normalized address.
  • Why it matters: Prevents listing edits from being rejected by external directories (Google, Apple, Bing) due to mismatched addresses and coordinates — a common source of failed publishes.
  • How to check it out: This validation runs automatically on location edits submitted via file import or API; mismatches are flagged with feedback explaining why.

Applicable to both Direct and Partners

Content Hub

New Capabilities

Wix Integration

  • What changed: Added a Wix integration to Content Hub, alongside existing WordPress support.
  • Why it matters: Lets businesses on Wix publish Content hub content directly to their website, without manual copy-pasting.
  • How to check it out: In Content Hub's publishing settings, connect your Wix account to enable direct publishing.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Billing & Usage

New Capabilities

Metering for Chatbot, Surveys, Marketing Automation, and Referrals

  • What changed: Usage metering framework will now cover Chatbot (number of AI responses sent), Surveys (response count), Referrals (shares), Marketing Automation (custom emails sent), and Mass Texting (renamed to "Texts").
  • Why it matters: Gives clear, consistent usage visibility and billing across more products, so usage-based costs are predictable rather than hidden.
  • How to check it out: Usage and overage information for these products now appears in the account's usage/billing view.

Applicable to Direct clients only

Ticketing

Feature Enhancements

Ticketing Custom Fields

  • What changed: Completed Ticketing custom fields with contact journey visibility (configurable per field), a bulk upload flow, field ordering, and new reporting broken out by time, location/hierarchy, and assignee.
  • Why it matters: Makes custom fields fully usable day-to-day — not just for data entry, but for reporting and bulk management at scale.
  • How to check it out: In Ticketing, custom field ordering and bulk uploads are now available, along with new custom-field-based reports.

Mass Texting

Compliance

Twilio SMS opt-out messaging is now mandatory

  • What’s new: Opt-out messaging is now automatically included in all outbound SMS messages sent through Twilio campaigns and cannot be disabled. A notice below the SMS composer confirms that opt-out messaging is enabled.
  • Why it matters: This helps you comply with Twilio’s messaging guidelines and supports your SMS deliverability and sender reputation.
  • How to access it: Open the SMS composer in any campaign to view the notice below the message box.
