Family owned and operated for four generations, Haynes Furniture has evolved through entrepreneurial innovation and a commitment to the people of Virginia. In 1930, Ellis Strelitz purchased a small furniture store in Norfolk from L.D. Haynes. Joined by his son and his younger brother, Mr. Strelitz expanded into the Richmond market in the Sydnor & Hundley building on Grace Street and set out to build Virginia’s biggest furniture store and to revolutionize the furniture industry.

The first interaction with Neil was great. We didn't purchase that day. The Memorial sale we purchased a full living room set, Top grain leather to include Couch, Loveseat, Chair and small Ottoman. My wife went back the next day to purchase the large Ottoman and Neil, was busy, but he wrote down an incomplete stock number, didn't verify if it was in stock to make sure it would be delivered with the rest of our furniture. Seems He got the major purchase and didn't care to make sure customer service was the same or better. Neil could of easily asked someone else to help.

I left a review about a month ago regarding Haynes Furniture giving me the rin around concerning a loveseat that I purchased in May of 2019. The wood on the arm of my loveseat cracked. I went back and forth with filing a claim with *** warranty and Haynes. I ended up placing a review at the BBB. Recently Haynes Corporate office responded by sending a Technition to my house on 3/13/2020. The guy was courteous and on time. He did an excellent job of repairing the crack! I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome.

Outstanding customer service! My husband and I went to Haynes to look for a new mattress. We were met by Jerry Heine who was very knowledgeable and helpful.. but not pushy or oppressive. He steered us towards different options and then let us alone to test the different mattresses ourselves. And just at the right time.. he would return to tell us about it or show us other options. I loved that he didn't "hover" or make me feel pressured. Very satisfied with my experience and purchase! Will definitely recommend Haynes and specifically Jerry to my friends looking for a new mattress! Thanks!

From arriving to the showroom, there were so many choices and the prices were better than any local dealer we visited. The Rep was pleasant and professional. We got a quick credit check, a great price and furniture delivered to our home a few days after. Received two phone calls prior to delivery and all went well. After reading all the negative comments about Haynes, I was cautious, but soon impressed how well it went. Maybe a lucky one, but I would use Haynes again. All positive here!

Love my new purchase!!!
Surprised to see such negative marks against HAYNES here. I bought a new living room set recently- delivered in the package to my home in just two days! The drivers assembled and placed the product exactly where I wanted it and removed the trash on their way out.
And talk about price- WOW, my purchase was several hundred dollars LESS than some of the other places in town and MUCH better quality than what I could have gotten elsewhere at that price!
HIGHLY recommended!

WIN-WIN
We are redesigning our 'comfy' room and found two of THEE MOST COMFORTABLE recliners last Saturday afternoon. (SCORE!) They had some promo deal, so I guess everything really worked in our favor. So - I don't know what is going on with the negative feedback?! This place was AWESOME, for lack of a first better descriptive impression! I mean, it's huge, so the selection is endless; the sales people weren't all up in my grill; and I got free Starbucks. My husband didn't mind being there either ;) Win-win!

Haynes
Haynes is a nice furniture store. The store in Virginia Beach is HUGE! I always get turned around when I go there. They have these nice little bridges over stream of water inside. Then they have a room for the kids with video games and stuff. Then they have this cafe with free Starbucks coffee and all sorts of candy bins. It is nice. Anyway, their furniture is good quality. I guess their prices are about average. They do have some high end stuff. The workers are helpful but don't feel like they are breathing down your neck. One thing that bugs me is the Haynes advertisements. Let them tell it they are always having the Biggest Sale of the Year! Their advertisements are a bit over the top. I would still recommend anyone in that Hampton Roads area looking for furniture to check them out.
