I would give zero stars if it were an option. I will NEVER again purchase furniture from any Haynes Furniture Store. Now that I read the reviews on the BBB website, I realize that I should have checked their customer service record before purchasing and saved myself over a year of aggravation. Very eye opening that they aren't BBB accredited!! On ******* we purchased a couch, recliner, and chair and a half from Haynes. I'd like to start by saying stay well clear of this store! A few weeks ago my lady and I purchased a condo and we decided to go all out and furnish the entire unit. We were met with pleasant smiles and customer service. After we paid for our furniture the nightmare began. We had our living bedroom delivered a week after purchased, when it came to the living room the first attempt was horrible. I am writing because I placed an order in the Newport News location on 09/16/20 for a custom sectional and ottoman. Order number ********** This week makes 25 weeks since my order was placed and I still do not have my order completed. I am giving this review one star because zero stars was not an option. I purchased a sofa from Haynes and was convinced to buy the one I bought because it would last for 10 years as they are custom made. Well, here it is 16 months later and the seat cushions have lost resiliency and it feels like you are sitting in a hole. When I purchased the sofa I was also strongly encouraged to buy the extended warranty. Our records indicate that our customer was contacted by a warranty manager on 2/16/2021 regarding his complaint about seat core resiliency. She confirmed to him that core resiliency is not covered by the *** extended protection plan. In fact no extended warranty from *** or any other company covers core resiliency. *** covers accidental damage for five years and some vendor defects after the manufacturer's warranty has expired at the end of one year. I would not have given 1 star if I had the option to give 0. Let me begin by saying, my husband and I have bought several pieces of furniture from Haynes (Jefferson Avenue, NN) in the past - dining room set, bedroom sets, mattresses, etc. And overall have been satisfied. We visited the store on October 10, 2020, to look for a recliner. Our sales person who has helped us numerous times in the past showed us a motion recliner that even has a massage feature. My husband and I ordered a sectional and recliner January 2020. It was delivered on time January 17, 2020. We bought the extra extended warranty on the recliner. One month later the recliner broke. We were unable to have anyone come to the house to look at it until July 27 due to the company's Covid policy. Which I understood. The guy who came to our house looked it over and thought it may be the switch. The switch was ordered and came on time. He came back on September 18 to try and fix it. If possible the rating would be negative. I started shopping for living room furniture in August 2020, decided to go to Haynes as I felt it would probably be easier than purchasing out of state. A review of Ms. ********* sales order indicates that we delivered her order on 1/16/2021. We are so sorry that it took so long to provide her with the furniture that she paid for in September. I would just point out that production and shipping of merchandise ceased from March through June due to the COVID event. The manufacturers are trying to catch up but there are significant delays. I have been a customer with The Dump since 2006 (14 years). I originally shopped at The Dump in Oaks, PA and started shopping at The Dump in Houston, TX in March 2020. I experienced the most unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, and unwelcoming representatives at The Dump in Houston, TX. The customer bought merchandise back in September that we had agreed to hold. The customer came in and cancelled part of the order and she was upset because she had to pay a restocking fee. She was given pillows for a chaise back in September and when she came in to cancel the order she did not have the pillows.
