I agree with previous review. Dump furnitue has the worst I agree with previous review. Dump furnitue has the worst ever customer service and horrible way to deal with customers's issues. I bought sofa and a chair from lombard location. But one side of sofa started sinking with 4 months. So when I called customer service to cover under manufactuer warrenty. In October of 2018 I purchased a coffee table from them I even purchased the insurance all told I spent $650. Shortly after the finish on the table started peeling and got progressively worse it is peeling in areas where no one even does anything (the underside). To make a long story short the dump said it is an incident for GBS the Insurance company to handle, the insurance company sent out a technician from a 3rd party who said the table is poorly made and is a manufacturing issue. Purchased a mattress & box spring, cost about $1500. It was supposed to be a 15 cents on the dollar sale. I should have realized there would be something hinky when they charged me full price and then made a big deal about 2 issues. 1. It's not their problem if the mattress doesn't fit. It's mine. 2. If I refuse delivery for any reason or if no one is on site to receive the merchandise, I would be charged a 15% restocking fee. They brought this up twice with additional witnesses on their side. I bought a power recliner on July 16, 2018 fro The Dump. Within a week I was having problems due to the the mechanical parts hitting the wooden frame. They had a tech come out. He ordered parts and between when the parts were delivered and when he was available, the next appointment was on Sept. 19, 2018. It was the wrong parts, it's now October 20, 2018 and the other parts haven't arrived. Their customer service? Oh, we'll call you back by the end of the day...have heard that for a week.
First and last time shopping at The Dump. Purchase a round table with a wooden top and a metal base that it screwed into. Picked it up at the warehouse and 2 days later put it together. The top was tilted to one side. Upon inspection, the metal crossbars on the underside of the table top were pulled away from the wood causing the top to tilt. We bought a bonded leather recliner with an extended warranty and the covering started separating within 3 years. The Dump should have known this is an inferior product beforehand and should not sell it. Of course, the warranty was useless as well. Bad and expensive experience.
i purchased a dining room table online from the dump. this was the first time i bought from the company. the table with delivery charge came to $1010.00 dollars. i did not know at this time the dump placed a full charge on my credit card. most companys wait until the item is delivered. when the table was delivered we did not feel it looked as good as the picture online. in fact it looked like cheap junk. we returned the table back to the dump. this was on the twelve of june. i called the company for my credit. i asked they s... read more
My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon to shop for a recliner, bought a nice looking leather chair that had motorized adjustable features and by Sunday night, only using it 3 times, the chair froze in a reclining position. Called Monday morning after waiting over 30 mins on hold and then transferred twice, was told a technician would call within 24-48 hours to schedule a appointment to come to our home to look at the chair. We do have a service order opened for this customer. A service technician did go to the home and inspect the recliner and also took photos. The reason the recliner is not working, it appears that there is transit damage to the cord. Perhaps the cord was not secured when it was picked up? As a courtesy we have ordered parts and will arrange installation. Thank you.
