I've never had an issue with this car. Not only is its design appealing to most people, it's also very cheap to run. I've never owned a more reliable car. Fuel efficiency is amazing. I've personally experienced no mechanical issues. Only down side is the small boot but hey, it's a hatch, you can't have everything :-).

I bought my Toyota Yaris in 2010 as part of the Toyotathon for 14,990 for a 5 door hatch. The first thing I realised after looking at a lot of other little cars was what you got for your money. $130 capped priced servicing and the bottom of the range YR hatch came standard with blue tooth connectivity and a full size spare wheel and there is so many storage compartments- 3 glove boxes to be precise! It drives well with a manual in the 1.3L but i would be sceptical about weather an auto would have enough get up. There is ampl... read more

2013 Yaris 1.3ltr has a system where the fuel cuts off when coasting or light braking and the torque converter locks up to keep the engine turning (like if it was a manual gearbox in gear) then when you accelerate again the engine fires and disengages the lock up converter. This gives you a terrible delay/dead spot followed by lurching / jerky/ jumping as you accelerate to get going again. At first i thought it was a faulty accelerator pedal but only found out about this problem from another website after bringing back to to... read more

Purchased in June 2013 - Automatic 5 door The Yarris is a reliable little run about. It is a compact car that is easy to drive. Driving position is comfortable and there is sufficient leg room in the back for an adult to sit without feeling cramped. For us this is a shopping trolley and is used mainly to run to the shops etc with occasional longer drives. The boot space (back seats up) is limited so consider what you are using the car for if massive amounts of storage are required. Easy to drive, comfortable. Has all the ... read more

The Yaris sedan is value for money, great on fuel and easy to drive however the current model lineup is feeling outdated. The Yaris interior is majorly outdated and bland which doesn't give much attraction. The car lacks the basic features which are now standard on most modern vehicles such as steering wheel audio controls. The exterior could use a face-lift as they have used this look for a few years now. Other than feeling old, the car still gets the job done. value for money, easy to drive outdated interior and exterior

I purchased this car in 2007, 3 door, 1.5 ltr manual has not had any problems since Been every where, well almost.. Dubbo, Canberra and Agnes Water Queensland with no dramas. It's reliable as it gets. All i do is change oil and that's it. It's a fantastic car i would recommend it to any one looking for a small hatch back. Reliable, suffecient engine power. Boot is on the small side compare to others.

I have a used 2006 Yaris I purchased earlier this year with 60,000km. I've done 6000 km since and not had a single issue. Only point I dislike is the clutch operation feels a bit unpredictable and its easy to stall taking off from the lights if not paying attention. Fuel economy is remarkable averaging 600-700km per tank of city driving. Seats and interior are comfortable and roomy for a small car. I like the digital speedo centre dash, and for a tiny 1.3 engine it does well at 100kph with just enough left to overtake. Usual... read more

This is my first Toyota,I bought Toyota on the recommendation of 6 different mechanics. I am delighted with my car,it has not missed a beat. I never miss a service. It really feels like a safe car in every type of weather.....it is comfortable, plenty of room for passengers, great stereo. Bluetooth hands free was easy to connect to my mobile,I did it myself. The stereo stops when the phone rings and the voice comes through the drivers speaker only. Works fantastic, great sound.Mostly I love the Toyota reliability ,it is a wonde... read more

I bought this car second hand and I must say I rarely stick to one car for long. So far this car hasn't been so bad to drive as the fuel usage has been fantastic using no more than 6.5 litres per 100km as I rack up roughly 25,000km a year. Good on fuel, Engine is quite, light to steer, boot has enough room for golfs plus more Road noise can quiet loud, I'm 6 foot and I can't scratch my head as too close to the roof, clutch can be terrible but I've been informed this is a common issue, car floats when traveling over 80km with... read more
