I have a 2008 yaris rush model. its a fantastic little car. fuel wise is incredibly fuel efficient. i drobe to melbourne and back and onlyused $70 worth of petrol. i have a 1.3 ltre engine and i have no trouble getting up to the speed limit. it goes ok up the hills just not so good on freeway but still can hit the speed limit. is a great car for just running around town in. only two cons i can think of. one is the car only has one reverse light in it so when reversing at night it doesnt light up very well so hard to see wher... read more

I've had my YRS Yaris for over 3 years and have never regretted my decision. Brought it as a single city girl and it still suits me as a farmer's wife with 2 step sons. A great second car for popping to the shops and running the kids around. It's my car of choice for errands to the city (wish it had cruise control though). Have had some quite tall people in the back with no probs. I feel like it is made just for me. The perfect small car. Great for short (or short-legged) people. Easy to park. Deceptively roomy for back pass... read more

this is a very economical car to run. I am not happy about the high reving at start-up. The accelerator is over sensitive and it's takes very little pressure on the pedal to go over the speed limit. The hatch has a tiny amount of boot space as you would expect but overall it's a good car for basic running around and the cost price is fairly reasonable too. the fuel economy is really good revs too high and so easy to go over the speed limit

Just bought the new spec 2011/12 Toyota Yaris YRS. I decided to go with the YRS, simply because when I sat in the base model Yaris YR, the plastic steering wheel seemed cheap and it didn't have the features I wanted, as I had a european car previously. This model has improved fuel efficiency compared to previous models, it's really really easy on petrol and is very smooth to drive and is a very smooth impressive ride. It's also incredibly safe in an accident. One thing that bothers me it has no places apart from the gloveb... read more

I've owned this car for over a year now, and so far no problems have been found at any of the checkups. Mine is a automatic 5DR yaris 1.5L engine. Fuel efficiency and reliability are the best features of the yaris. It can get expensive to get checkups at Toyota though. Fuel efficiency, leg space in the rear seats, reliability. Seats are comfortable. Easy to turn. Lots of storage space. Smash test results show that the car is quite fragile when hit, although it is quite common for small cars like this. The air con sometimes h... read more

This is a great car. Great for the city parking but perfect for longer trips out of the city too. I do wish we had bought the 4 door option. Pulling the front passenger seat forward all the time gets annoying. Great little car. Impressed my Barina-driving mother with the extra boot space when folding the seats down and moving them forward! Perfect city get-about. Easy on fuel, easy to park, services are cheap too. Speedo is big and digital - so easy to read! I wish it had a bit more power.

The Yaris feels like a very solidly build and reliable car. For a small car it is very nice to drive and inside feels very modern and stylish. It is a very comfortable drive and quite roomy for a hatchback. The boot is quite large in size. These cars are quite economical and very nice to drive long distance. Definitely more comfortable than most small cars out there. Reliable, nice to drive, has a lot of style, comes in nice colours. Good book size and very easy to get from a to b in. Easy to park being so small. Can be a bi... read more

I bought the 2007 1.5L hatch brand new. In the 3 yrs I've driven it (25,000km), it's been 100% reliable which is the major factor for me. I find I can overtake 95% of vehicles on the road which suits me perfectly (until I can afford a sports car). I get 100km for 8.5L fuel. 2-door fits 4 people comfortably, but 4-door would be easier to get in/out of the back. I always reverse park because modern cars have poor turning circle & poor visibility of corners. Being so compact it can squeeze in the tiniest spaces - perfect for ci... read more

I'm very impressed with our automatic Yaris. I bought it for my wife, then found myself using excuses to drive it more often than my own car!! Why? Because it's so well designed and drives so effortlessly. The cab forward design means that the base of the windscreen is further forward than usual on a car, resulting in a short bonnet and a large sloping windscreen that rakes back at quite a low angle and contributes to its very stylish shape. Combine this with a low beltline that dips as it reaches the front of the car and y... read more
