This is my first Toyota,I bought Toyota on the recommendation of 6 different mechanics. I am delighted with my car,it has not missed a beat. I never miss a service. It really feels like a safe car in every type of weather.....it is comfortable,plenty of room for passengers,great stereo. Bluetooth hands free was easy to connect to my mobile,I did it myself. I bought this car second hand and I must say I rarely stick to one car for long. So far this car hasn't been so bad to drive as the fuel usage has been fantastic using no more than 6.5 litres per 100km as I rack up roughly 25,000km a year. I bought the 2012 YR model for my wife in January 2013. It was a mangers car, so it had done 14K in eight months but we managed to get it for $13.5K compared to $18K for a new one. My wife loves the car. The new look is so much smarter than the old style. The sound system is excellent, it is very fuel efficient, easy to park, has responsive steering and has good power for it's size. She loves driving it and often tells me how happy she is with it. bought this second hand and it had some scratches but the engines and everything works great. the interior is more spacious than it looks, though the boot has very little space. I love that it has many pockets and compartments, especially in the front - and that the back seats are fully adjustable - you can push them forward to make more space in the boot. love the boot has a bottom hidden space for a spare tyre and tools. very very handy. fuel efficiency is also great. very easy to park and to manage, especially for ladies.... read more
I bought a 2010 yaris yr brand new and drove it to work everyday, about 1000kms a week. 2 years later when I sold it, it was just like new. I originally chose the yaris based on the 2.9% finance deal and service advantage which makes it very good value. It was a nice little car with lots of storage spaces but very basic. No cruise control even as an option, no steering wheel controls or stability control or anything like that. Very happy with the yaris so far e.g driving dynamics, driving position & servicing has been fairly reasonable. I bought my first new car in 2009 and chose a Yaris YRS with the additional safety pack (additional airbags) This small car seemed to look like more value for money, compared to the Mazda 2 and Hyundai cars which seemed empty and cheap on the insides. The Yaris is comortable, has adjustable back seats that can fold down flat for large boot space. As the title suggest, this is a review for my wife's vehicle. I own a performance car BUT I hope this review is factual/helpful for you who are seriously considering this vehicle. Recently purchased the 2011 YRS model (automatic, 1.5L engine) with added safety pack upgrades - has seven airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control, high pedestrian safety rating, 5-star ANCAP safety rating, and more!
