I bought the 2007 1.5L hatch brand new. In the 3 yrs I've driven it (25,000km), it's been 100% reliable which is the major factor for me. I find I can overtake 95% of vehicles on the road which suits me perfectly (until I can afford a sports car). I get 100km for 8.5L fuel. 2-door fits 4 people comfortably, but 4-door would be easier to get in/out of the back. I always reverse park because modern cars have poor turning circle & poor visibility of corners. Being so compact it can squeeze in the tiniest spaces - perfect for ci... read more
I'm very impressed with our automatic Yaris. I bought it for my wife, then found myself using excuses to drive it more often than my own car!! Why? Because it's so well designed and drives so effortlessly. The cab forward design means that the base of the windscreen is further forward than usual on a car, resulting in a short bonnet and a large sloping windscreen that rakes back at quite a low angle and contributes to its very stylish shape. Combine this with a low beltline that dips as it reaches the front of the car and y... read more
This is a great car. My partner and I went to holden, hyundai, suzuki, kia, mitsubishi, mazda, ford and looked and played with all the equivalent sized and priced cars. Most cars had no legroom if the front seat was back. Only the Yaris had a slide to enable you to bring forward or back the rear seats (may not be a big thing, but if you have a box that's only just too big for the back... you can slide the seats forward rather than having to convert it to a flat space. The headrests on the back seat sliding back into the sea... read more
After driving a Honda Accord Euro for a number of years, I must say my husband & I are very pleased with our Yaris purchase. Firstly, although a smaller car compared to the Honda Euro, the Yaris gives the illusion of space for a few reasons: seats are not bucket-style & importantly, the lack of the hump in the middle of the back passenger leg space. The passenger sitting in the middle need not have the feet wide-apart! Also, bags & stuff can fit easily on the floor. This is useful if you have kids / babies. Back seats can be... read more
I am a proud owner of a Toyota Yaris and have been for the last 8 months. I like the sedan look of the Yaris compared to other car models. Although it looks like a small car on the outside, the interior is quite spacious. With electric windows and mirrors, it is a good car all rounder. Nice and sleek exterior. Clean and modern interior. Smooth drive. Electric windows Odometer and control panel in the middle of the dashboard
It uses little fuel. It can park anywhere and is simple to steer. It has the most storage compartments I have ever seen in a light car (3 in-dash comparments, middle compartment and several drink holders). It is also a Toyota, one of the highest quality and most reliable manufacturers (even including the recent recall). Sadly, the drive is boring. It makes driving a real chore, there's absolutely no excitement anywhere in this car. Also, the manual clutch is horrible and even an experienced driver will have trouble masterin... read more
Overall this car is pretty good, wouldn't highly recommend it but for the price, etc, you get a nice looking, modern car. You get use to the dashboard being in the middle and it feels lovely to drive and is easy to manouvre. I think it is a nice looking car, reasonably shaped and very roomy inside for younger kids and a fantastic big boot. The tyres! My car is a 2007 model and I have had to buy a number of new tyres for it. Toyota told me there was nothing wrong with the car just that the Yaris is very hard on the tyres. The... read more
I drive my Yaris every day for at least and hour and have had it now for over a year - I have not had a problem with it! It is reliable, smooth to drive, compact yet spacious and very comfortable in all seat positions (not squishy in the back!). Great features like independently locked boot and lots of little storage compartments - Fantastic Vehicle for singles and small families alike!!! I love my 2007 Toyota Yaris Sedan! It is a very practical, yet stylish small/medium sized car with all the essentials to make your journey... read more
