I think this companies business practices are atrocious. PLEAS PLEASE do your research before you call them. They want you to make a decision on the day they come for the estimate or the price goes up . They tell you that you can have someone else come in and give you a quote and if it's better they will match and give you 15% off, only problem is their paperwork gives no no info on the product you are buying nothing about the carpet or pad , just their stock #'s which by the way do not match ****** , which is the carpet we ... read more
My father (disabled & elderly) got carpet & laminate installation set up in March for his Tenents apartment, at the time she was 8 months pregnant and my father is disabled/elderly, the virus started not long after they came for the estimate and the products were picked, purchased & the contract was written up. Terrible customer service and does not stand by their sales agreement. Ripped out half of our carpet and then told us we owed more money for moving furniture. I asked them to leave and fully refund they would not. Typical bait and switch operation.
Such a bad experience with them and I feel like a fool. I had a decent enough experience with the sales girl who came to my son's new home and it went all downhill from there. I was promised delivery on Friday 8/14. I got a call on 8/13 to confirm that they would be there at 7:30 on 8/14 so I took a day off from work with no pay to meet them. 7:30 came and went, 8:00 came and went, 8:30 came and went. Had a laminate floor installed in my living room for $2,325.00 in Aug 2019. They had to come out after the installation to repair a bubble in the floor. The floor has had no foot traffic since then. I've been living in Florida since then. The house has been heated over the winter with the temp set at 52 degrees. This company is extremely unprofessional from its Sales Representative (Mr. David K***) down to some of the customer service reps! I signed a contract for a 3-room floor installation and hardwood laminate floor*** which includ*** perimeter and transitional mold***. NFD advertised for carpet and padd*** $880 however as all know it was for the commercial carpet, the cost ended up be*** about a five-thousand-dollar job. Total scam and poor business practices! Sean G*****, sales person, assured us on August 8, 2020 that the material for our floors were available and in the warehouse. He also stated that **** ***** is known for their inability to install in a timely manner because we shared that we had a quote from **** *****. This is for an installation of a new hardwood floor. Terrible experience! Things started well when we met with Larry (Sales Director) on July 22nd. During the initial meeting he presented us with various pricing terms based on which day we booked an order (red flag). He even offered a COVID discount that NFD was promoting to avoid having their sales teams revisit potential customers. We chose NFD because of their ads promising next day installation which of course is a gimmick. How much of a gimmick, I had no idea! I had given a $1200 deposit in March and they postponed install once because the flooring was not in stock. They later had me choose another color.. the the Coronavirus took hold and NJ was in lockdown. I was later exposed to the virus and had to self quarantine. They told my husband to reschedule install for July 20. On July 16 I called to confirm and was told it was not scheduled and that I had to send them the balance of $2200 first.
