The workmanship was great. The contractors did an EXCELLENT job., The Office Reps, and my sales rep Harry who came out to give me the my estimate have VERY LITTLE knowledge about the company. We agree upon an install date and I was told by the person completing the estimate that they would guarantee an install date if I sign a cancellation waiver. National Floors Direct calls me 2 days before the install date to tell me that they didn’t get the supplies so they have to install another day and that it could be within 90 days of the original install date. I purchase top quality carpet from NFD (order # CT26669), paid a third in advance, and was supposed to have it installed on 11/24/2020 before the Thanksgiving Holiday. I was actually required to sign a document eliminating my rights to 3-day cancelation to have it installed on this date. As requested by NFD, I spent two days disassembling furniture and moving it around to allow access to three upstairs bedrooms. Absolutely the worst experience ive ever had. This company depreciated value of my home. Quick shotty work, workers showed up to my door and did not have masks on. My floors had scratches on them before the workers left, They are claiming I signed off on the work cannot show me documentation that I did (because i did not) worker came back and addmited it was a scratch from him moving furniture back in place and claimed he would get more material and fix the board. I had floors were in stalled in May 2020. In one of the rooms it is lifting up and cracked and in the other rooms there are 2 locations that have gaps and spaces exposing the subfloor. These are brand new flooring and should not have spaces in between. No Stars Horrible scam artists. Tried to cancel the next day and I was told, in a short answe, no way can I do that. I should have read the reviews to begin with. Now I have to pay an extra amount of money to get rid of them. It is amazing this company does all this advertising on known TV stations and they are a horrible company.
AVOID AVOID AVOID. Red flag #1: They only accept cash or cashier's check, and demand payment on delivery and not after the install is complete. This means there's no protection for the consumer if something goes wrong. You can't call your credit card company and ask for a chargeback, or cancel a check. They have your cash, and they'll keep it. Red flag #2: Their online reviews are great because they prohibited consumers from writing negative reviews until the *** stopped them. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! As mentioned in at least one other review, if I could give them a zero I would. I'm not going to even bother with the very long description of everything that went wrong, culminating with an incompletely installed floor and zero communication from the company. I cannot tell you the problems I have had with this company. I had them out once and they did a great job. I was pleased so I called them back to do another room. Salesman was great. Cash discount was given. I gave them $300.00 for a down payment. I realized there was a problem with my sub floor. I needed to hire someone to fix my floor before I could have carpet put down.
