What You’ll Do

As our hands-on principal designer, you will develop and promote our creative/brand strategy through key performance-oriented creatives, including our website, digital assets, and brand promotions.

You will help lead, grow, and mentor an in-house team of designers and other internal/external creative resources to bring our creative strategy to life. You will also collaborate directly with executives to design high-impact presentations, contribute to strategic visual ideas, and craft key brand assets for internal and external initiatives.

You should have an inspiring portfolio, a great design sense, a love for complex problems, and the ability to clearly articulate how a next-generation brand should perform.


Responsibilities

  • Translate abstract ideas and requirements into tangible and beautiful design deliverables
  • Help to further develop a modern and elegant visual language for the Birdeye brand
  • Advocate for changes, refinements, and ongoing improvements
  • Proactively manage multiple projects, from start to finish, to meet priorities and requirements in an agile environment
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, researchers, and writers to conceptualize, prototype, test, iterate, and build end-to-end experiences
  • Inform, influence, support, and execute our brand vision
  • Manage and mentor the creative team

Requirements

  • 7 years of work experience as a designer working on highly recognized brands and websites
  • BFA, BA, or BS degree in design, advertising, or a related discipline
  • Portfolio demonstrates rock-solid skills in creative design, including website and brand development
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development processes
  • Must have a modern design aesthetic and pay attention to every detail and every pixel
  • Complete mastery of design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate design workflows, generate creative concepts, and enhance visual storytelling
  • Strong leadership when collaborating with design, engineering, product, and marketing
