A Truly Caring and Compassionate Facility My grandmother has been at Vista Real for the past 3 to 4 months, and the difference in her care has been nothing short of life-changing. She was transferred here after a serious injury at another facility where her basic needs were not being met. At Vista Real, everything changed for the better. My mother was sent here due to elderly neglect from her previous home and needed rehabilitation. Since my mother has been here she has been shown nothing but compassion and wonderful care from all the staff. This building may be a bit older, but it is very clean. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. I am so sad that it only a short term care facility, as I would love be to keep my mother here long term as my mother seems happier and healthier. I went to visit my friend who had been sent there from Palm Springs Regional Hospital. I walked to the gate, opened it and a siren went off!!! I walked towards the front desk and two male patients had been fighting, shouting and screaming. I was escorted to my friend's room and the assistant was attempting to get ABC on the TV, with no avail. The bathroom was for 6 rooms, no locks, toilets too low. I can't say much about this place because I am not from the area, but I pulled in to make a u turn to pull in to Dutch bros next door when I see and elderly man past out on the floor with the sprinklers soaking him. There was no one around and he was shivering and looked dazed as if he had some kind medical emergency and couldn't stand on his own.
