Get directionsI am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mom was at Evergreen Bakersfield Healthcare for three weeks. The only way I could see her was through the window, but what I saw was that they were very attentive to her, and everything looked very clean. They brought her meals out to her, and if we brought her something, they would go and take it to her. I would ask mom how they were treating her, and she said very good. She's in a shared room, and because of COVID, they weren't allowed to roam around. The staff was ve... read more
I visited this facility My dad was recently in the facility for 3 months. He needed skilled nursing help and therapy to use his limbs and walk. Our family and my dad had a very positive experience with Evergreen. My dad liked the food and the nursing and therapy staff were terrific. He re-learned to walk there and was able to come home. Very clean facility. No bad odors. God staff coverage and attention to patients. I would highly recommend Evergreen. I have only good things to say about the facility and staff. My dad says h... read more
I visited this facility When my loved one was released from a primary hospital her goal was to return to her home. She went to Evergreen where she received excellent care. She had a great room with lots of space and big windows. The nursing staff was knowledgable and efficient while always being polite and considerate. While the patient is their primary concern, they were very kind and accommodating to family and friends as well. The physical therapy and occupational therapy professionals were wonderful. They gave her opport... read more
I am a friend or relative of a resident My dad was at Evergreen for over a month requiring more acute care. I was not that impressed with the facility because it required my intervention to get things done which I did not expect I would have to do.
I am a friend or relative of a resident The patient care staff at Evergreen really seemed to care about the residents, whether the residents were actually able to communicate or not. The facility was always clean. My grandmother was a resident for a couple of years, and she never had any sores or wounds. She did have a couple of falls and two escapes out the fire door. That was a little scary. My grandfather received loving care there in his final days. He was comfortable and aware until the end. We were at peace with his de... read more
I am/was a resident of this facility The staff are rude and don't respond when you call for them. The food is gross and they have little to select from. I couldn't even get a chicken salad. The doctor only goes once a month. They do not take care of there patients.
I am a friend or relative of resident My mother was in this nursing home for rehabilitation and unfortunately it is better than many in Bakersfield. The staff seemed to care, but they were hard to find and many times they all seemed to be in the lounge instead of attending to the patients. There is no cell service in the facility and there are no phones in the room. My mother's first roommate was dying and so her room never had fewer than 8 extra people sitting around. There should be a private place for such patients and th... read more
I visited this facility My grandmother 83 yrs old fell and broke her hip, and a neighbor recomended Ever green. she was there for a week, 1st night got no sleep because they allowed her room mate to keep tv on all night. moved to a new room after I threw a fit about no quiet hours for people trying to heal. food was horrible. dinner one night was a piece of toast with some kind of canned meat on top. on weekend nights trash and used gloves on floor. her last night there my gpa went in to visit she had a stroke was paralized,... read more
I am a friend or relative of a resident On appearances alone this facility seems to be one of the nicer nursing homes in our city (Bakersfield, CA). It was for this reason that my mother requested that my grandmother stay there to receive her rehabilitation treatment. After being in the hospital for two weeks with pneumonia and a failing liver she was having trouble walking and needed assistance to learn how again. The room was comfortable but had no phone and the meals provided good, but everything else was dreadful. Only h... read more
