Get directionsThe phone system used to speak with current resident patients is antiquated, it is rare for myself and wife to get through to speak with our father in rehab. We live long distance, so it's very important that we at least have contact with him for his own sanity and rehab. We have inquired about the phone system problem and there seems to be no resolution of it. However, when we visit, the staff is overly friendly and obliging. I want to thank the wonderful staff and Admissions Coordinator Sonia Huerta for doing an outstanding job in helping my brother. When he was excepted, he was taken in and immediately transitioning started. He was fighting for his life and could barley talk, couldn't feed himself or stand. I love the nursing staff at Sequoia. And the activists women are second to none. They taking such good care of my mom. They treat her like family. Angie and Ashley are wonderful.
My grandpa spent the last couple months of his life at Sequoia Transitional Care. He was treated kindly and staff was very attentive to his needs. I visited my Grandpa multiple times a week and the facility was always fresh smelling and clean- it felt like a happy place and not the typical depressing nursing home. I appreciated the environment and the people he was surrounded by, as well as the care he received in his last days.
From a residents view I wouldn't recommend this facility. There are many workers that are under paid and over worked, unappreciated by the staff, and that reflects on thei work. The Administration needs an overhaul starting at the top. They treat the residents as children. Therapy is far from acceptable, they also need to replace those in charge.
My mother was sent to Sequoia Transitional for short-term rehab after a medical emergency and collapse. She stayed for two weeks and received good care from the nurses, CNA's and her therapists. I visited on a daily basis. Appointments are required for visitation due to Covid 19 and I made an appointment for the next day before leaving the facility whenever I visited. On Friday, two days before Mom was released, there was a staff meeting and when I went to make my appointment, the people at the front desk would not let me go... read more
