I googled the doctors name and found a number and I called that number and I asked is this the practice of Dr. Alena Cox. And the lady said no, ma’am this is Lifestance health. And I had seen Dr. Cox before at the same practice under a different name and I said OK well thank you have a nice day and the lady said well wait a minute maybe I can help you and I’m like not sure how that’s gonna happen but OK. I have been seeing Dr. Cox for years. When I started seeing her we had a difficult time getting my meds right. Dr. Cox was thorough, professional, encouraging and kind. I am very happy to have her on my health team. I highly recommend.
Dr. Cox is a wonderful psychiatrist. That being said, the entire Life Stance operation is untenable, inefficient and frustrating. Do not try to call them on the phone. It is one of the worst phone systems I’ve encountered, as well as some of the most untrained agents I’ve had to work with. It is difficult to make an appointment, and when you do, it might not be with the correct provider. As with me, I made an appointment for my son and it was canceled by Life Stance.
