I dine here regularly, especially in the summer. I take all my friends here and they all LOVE it. The atmosphere, the service, the manners, the food, the drinks...it's all amazing and worth every penny. Fantastic food at a great price. Through www.glocallynewark.com's launch last month, I decided to find out if this restaurant was as good as it sounded. IT WASN'T!!! I was totally surprised when it blew my expectations and proved to be AWESOME! Fresh seafood, great meat, appetizers to die for and a beautiful ending note when we took our coffee and desert in the backyard. Allegro Bar & Restaurant has great food at great prices. Seafood is fresh & varied; meats are seasoned to perfection and delicious! Seafood lovers: suggest Seafood platter for 4 people...so get a lot napkins and dig in!
My boyfriend and I had dinner about a month ago. I agree, the service can be a bit slow.. but what can you spect? it's an European oriented restaurant. You'll getting the authentic feel of Portugal. this is a great seafood restaurant. I had the Acorda de Marisco and it was to die for. you must call for reservations as it gets full quickly. since it is relatively new, the timing of the service as a bit slow, but the waiter was very nice and friendly. the desserts are great as well!
