After living across the US and the world for over 30 years, and 20 years in MD, I can honestly say that Dr Kershenbaum is the very BEST doctor! He’s patient, he listens, and he’s extremely knowledgeable in current treatments. He has pretty much “cured” my asthma—I went from getting walking pneumonia annually, being on multiple meds/inhalers/steroids, wheezing and never having enough air, to now being able to enjoy outdoor activities, NO wheezing, and, NO MEDS! I went to this doctor for patch testing specifically for hair products that cause instant hives that last for weeks on scalp and back. He showed ZERO interest in the severe reaction I had to the adhesive on the tape used for patch testing. Come to find out after an awful, painful week of patch testing, that he did not tailor the tests to hair products and instead used a standard panel despite my request. Total waste of time and pain. I had a horrible experience with Dr. Balson. I went to see him concerned about allergies. During our appointment he was dismissive, rude and hostile. His 'bedside manner' was terrible! At one point I mentioned the hunch I had in regards to my allergic reaction and he said " who is the doctor, you or me? If you've already diagnosed yourself, tell me what you're doing here" RUDE!!! TERRIBLE! Go elsewhere. Important to read this review because it's the truth and proves this guy is a fraud. After experiencing hives for the second time after eating shellfish, I went to Dr. Balson for food allergy testing. I was surprised to see the dated medical devices and equipment in his office given he's located in a well-established and highly reputable area along Beacon Street Brookline.
