Everyone is so friendly and caring. I really appreciate the sunglasses provided and they have no problem with me using my noise canceling AirPods to help me with the sensory overload. I’ve had so many traumatic dental experiences at other places but I find these dentists are amazing at minimizing the uncomfortable situation of dental work and being so considerate of past trauma. I’m no longer terrified of dental appointments and I’m always so pleased with the work they’ve done.
I went to Altima Dental sometime in 2024 to get a filling done, and it already came out — barely over a year later. From the beginning, something felt off about the filling. A student dentist (I believe doing their residency) worked on it, and while I didn’t mind that at all, I could tell right away that something wasn’t right. Best of the best treatment and impeccable customer service! Staff here are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I actually loathe going to the dentist (like most people, it's definitely not my favourite thing to do) but I am so glad I chose Altima Scotia Plaza; the experience was always painless and enjoyable! Specifically, I saw Dr. Mark Rykiss for orthodontic treatment to fix a slight crowding issue with my upper teeth.
