I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with AmeriGas has been incredibly frustrating. I called to set up a new propane account for a recently purchased property. We currently use a competitor at our other properties, but since there was already an AmeriGas tank on-site, I decided to give them a chance. The first issue was simply getting someone on the phone. ****Update**** Since writing this review, Amerigas sent a refund check. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star but had to in order to post. Do NOT fall for their "promotion" gimmicks. They roped us in with their English speaking representatives, but then lacked on the follow through. I had to take two days off of work because they sent the wrong crew members out the first time. I needed a "free" inspection to become a customer but they sent out a delivery driver the first time. When the bill came, NONE of those promotional ... read more
Horrible communication. Scheduled a swap of services and was told 7-12 window and nobody showed up and had zero calls letting me know until after the window of install that they are rescheduling my install. Wasted a vacation day of work just for nobody to show or even call me. Thabks amerigas for the horrible new customer experience. I will keep everyone posted if they even try to make this right.
I'd rate 0 stars if I could. Amerigas filled our propane tanks while we were on vacation. Because they couldn't access the house to verify the gas lines, they turned off the tanks and locked them. They didn't bother checking the pressure on the tanks outside of the house. They also didn't bother to contact us to tell us they were locking our tanks. Worst company ever to deal with. I used to love them and had them for years. They shipped their customer service over seas and got rid of their service department. I requested several times to be put on auto delivery and was told it was all set then about. Month and half later ran out and had to pay 300 buck extra 3x in 12 months for delivery. 3rd time and I switch to a local company. No contract and better pricing. Nicer tanks too.
