We've had positive experiences with Amerigas. *********** is responsive. Website is easy to use, best for placing orders. Text messages provided concerning order status. Price is typically lowest in our area.
I put in a request for a fill the beginning of the week and my tank was filled on Friday!Delivery was handled by *********************.He read my note requesting a call before delivery and actually called an hour before his arrival! He was kind, friendly and knew his job! We will use Americagas again and hope ***** remains our delivery person!

Amerigas complaint Contacted them to buy the propane tank that I currently lease. After talking to three different people, the answer was no. Stated that they do not sell any tank above 240 gallons. This is a false statement. Other statement is that they are not selling their assets at this time. Another false statement. This email serves as a former complaint to your company for ongoing issues with getting a delivery to our familys home for a gas refill. After a missed delivery date we called to follow up and spent several hours on hold to be told there was a flag to our account that there was a pause on delivery. We had not received any prior notice to make us aware. No email no call no letter not anything regarding this hold due to a potentially serious issue. I wish I could give them a negative star rating because thats what they deserve. We Purchased a home that already had an amerigas tank. Called around for pricing and found a company much cheaper than AmeriGas called this morning to stop service and have someone come and pick up the tank and they charge $199 for a disconnection fee and $199 to come and pick up the tank. We have used Amerigas on and off for our propane needs over the years. Overall, they have maintained competitive gas prices. However, in July of this year, we felt they took total advantage of us. We suspected a gas leak at our owned tank. We had purchased the tank from a company that Amerigas had previously purchased. On January ******* I spoke to an amerigas employee and asked how the convenience payment plan worked. She told me and said it would be $99 to sign up and then my monthly payments would be around $350. So I told her I was good and I didnt want to proceed and just paid my bill in full. Then this month I got a delivery and received my bill via email and saw this $99 charge plus my delivery charge. In early Sept.. I received a post card from Amerigas saying if I ordered, online a gas delivery before Sept. 19, I would be eligible for a discount. I made my order which was delivered Sept 17. On Sept 22, I received an invoice containing no discount. I've communicated with Amerigas by phone,emails and chat without getting Amerigas to provide me with the $20 discount I earned.I can't think of any suggestions to improve Amerigas service.
