This company is a scam. We were new to propane and the tank was already here in 2021 when we purchased our house. We signed up with Amerigas because that is what the previous homeowners had. We failed to do our homework. Years later we found out we were being double charged all those years per gallon. We just switched to a different company that is half the price per gallon. They are 3x the cost of their competitors. We switched companies and asked AmeriGas to pick up their tank. They want us to pay $500 to pick it up. Do not use this company. Employees are extremely rude. This company is going to go out of business soon. I’ll be delivering their tank to your parking lot.
Amerigas current pricing model is unreasonable and lacks fairness and transparency. The current pricing structure does not reflect fair or justifiable value for the service provided.the customer service team lacks the capacity to discuss and resolve issues effectively, as they primarily just reference the terms and conditions without offering practical solutions. Requests to speak with a supervisor are consistently declined preventing effective issue resolution.
Do not use this company. It used to be owned more locally but since it was bought out by Amerigas it has gone way downhill. Service is unreliable, customer service is just a call center who can't help you, and pricing... You can do the math. As of this posting market rate for propane is $1.98 per gallon. Amerigas charged me $4.11. Even with delivery markups that is outrageous by any standards. Avoid this company, there are far better and more honest options in the area.
