We've been a customer with AmeriGas for over two decades at least. They just sent us a renewal with an over 47% increase to our payments. Customer Service does nothing but try to bully you into accepting the increases the last two or three years at least. They are also trying to fraudulently change our contract into an auto renew that we never approved. Zero stars. Worst customer service in the industry. Constant billing problems because delivery drivers bill the wrong account
Horrendous company to deal with when trying to cancel service. It’s telling that AmeriGas seems to have staff monitoring Google Reviews yet fails to handle basic account cancellations properly. If you’re considering AmeriGas, take this as a warning—find another provider. I moved in June 2023 and promptly contacted AmeriGas to inform them that we no longer needed their service and to pick up their tank. We were on autofill and tank ran out during the coldest days of the year. Finally got ahold of someone and they came to fill it 48 hrs later Said gauge was stuck at 62% Guess what it ran out again . Nobody came to fix gauge . Called another gas company . Poor service no follow up plus can't talk to no one that speaks clear English. It seems no one cares and you keep adding fees . Our furnace and hot water heater quit working in the middle of the night. The outside temperatures were below zero. I went looking for electric heaters while my wife called the Amerigas hot line and spoke to someone she had difficulty understanding ( foreign) and who virtually did not know anything about how your propane tanks operate. She asked if there was a “gas leak“. we explained that it was not a gas leak. We were not receiving gas from the tank. So she would not have someone come out and look at it.
