We've had positive experiences with Amerigas. *********** is responsive. Website is easy to use, best for placing orders. Text messages provided concerning order status. Price is typically lowest in our area.
I put in a request for a fill the beginning of the week and my tank was filled on Friday!Delivery was handled by *********************.He read my note requesting a call before delivery and actually called an hour before his arrival! He was kind, friendly and knew his job! We will use Americagas again and hope ***** remains our delivery person!

Getting to the right people to resolve an issue is a nightmare. Obviously the customer service is all overseas and/or they only hire people who speak minimal English. BUT - I will say once we got through that maze of human interaction (which took us over 2 weeks of calling), the local customer service people here in Jacksonville FL did an excellent job of quickly resolving our issue. DO NOT USE Amerigas find anyone else. We have 2 tanks here 1 with Amerigas (14 years) and Co-op 1 year. This year we noticed that co -op was 1/2 the price so we contacted Amerigas to see what they could do. They never got back to us and picked up the tank. 80% full of propane that we paid for. at 4.99 a gallon. Now they are telling me that we do not get credit for the tank being full and they are going to charge the next person for the propane that we already paid for. Horrible **************** and price gauging. Local rate for propane is currently $1.50 to a $1.75 lower. We called to see if the local price could be matched with no resolve. The call alone was an hour and a half most of which was spent on hold and transferred multiple times. We cancelled our account and was told 4 to 6 weeks for the tanks to be picked up. On January 8th, 2026, a technician from AmeriGas arrived at my home to inspect my complaint that I was not receiving any gas from my lines. My initial thought was that the gas line was either plugged, or damaged and was not properly working. Everything looked fine, but their was no visible valve anymore to this line and was not able to inspect whether gas was even being transmitted into the fireplace. They installed a new regulator on my propane tank. **** was about $500. A month later there was a gas leak at the regulator connection. They came and fixed the leak and sent me a bill for another $500 which I believe should be covered under warranty since the installation was obviously not done correctly. I called and emailed several times trying to contact someone who could fix the bill but they just keep sending me from one department to another and nobody will take responsibility. DO NOT PURCHASE from AmeriGas. The price per gallon is much higher than others. Trying to contact them is ridiculous, as they work through a call center. I just cancelled my service. They charge $128/yr rental on the tank and now they are charging me $450 to remove their tank. They said they will come in the next 45 days to remove it. I am switching to Xxxx, gas is more than $1.50/gallon cheaper and no rental fees.
