We've had positive experiences with Amerigas. *********** is responsive. Website is easy to use, best for placing orders. Text messages provided concerning order status. Price is typically lowest in our area.
I put in a request for a fill the beginning of the week and my tank was filled on Friday!Delivery was handled by *********************.He read my note requesting a call before delivery and actually called an hour before his arrival! He was kind, friendly and knew his job! We will use Americagas again and hope ***** remains our delivery person!

Getting to the right people to resolve an issue is a nightmare. Obviously the customer service is all overseas and/or they only hire people who speak minimal English. BUT - I will say once we got through that maze of human interaction (which took us over 2 weeks of calling), the local customer service people here in Jacksonville FL did an excellent job of quickly resolving our issue. Never use this company. The hidden fees and lack of knowledge on the staff makes this company a joke.
I had recently moved into a rental property that had an AmeriGas tank and it was empty. I needed to get it refilled, but the soonest that AmeriGas could come out was weeks out and I needed gas sooner than that. So I got a local gas company to replace the tank and canceled my account with ********************** not having gotten any gas delivered by them under my account. I canceled my lp gas service with Amerigas on 9/25 because they were charging $175 a year tank rental for a 100lb tank .I asked if I could return the Tank myself and they said No I didn't have to worry about it.After a year later on 9/26 they came and picked up the Tank and sent me a bill for $445 . Totally outrageous!!!.I called and was put on hold for 45 minutes and no one picked up.Terrible Service do not use Amerigas
We have had Amerigas for about 10 years. Initially there was no charge for tank rental but 7 years ago they started charging $180.00/year tank rental in addition to their outrageuos non-competitive rates for gas. We tired of paying $180.00 per year for tank rental. We called (couldn't do it online) to cancel the service and have the tank picked up. When we bought our home in mebane,** in 1996 our propane provider was ***** fuels. They were honest, hard-working, trustworthy and honorable people and company. Unfortunately, they were bought out by Americas a few years back. They have done a 180 to put it mildly. They will charge you for 150 gallons and deliver probably 80 or 90. A week later when you check the tank and see whats going on and call and complain.
