PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM AMERIGAS. I Bought a home with an existing AmeriGas tank and was told the only way to keep my family warm during winter was to create an account and get a fill since no other company can swap tanks during the mucky winter/spring months. I specifically said I did NOT want a contract. Months later, after switching companies, AmeriGas picked up their already disconnected tank and charged me over $600 in fees, including a “service dispatch fee” for work they never performed and an “early termination fee” f... read more
The auto refill program I enrolled in earlier this year worked as expected. Super happy with AmeriGas service. They are always responsive and efficient- and consistently good over the 10 years I have used them.
I highly do NOT recommend this company, customer service sucks and you talk to people in a totally different country. Do yourself a favor and shop around for a company who has at least a little bit of compassion. The last person here to fill my tanks, had the balls to litter on my property the wrapper from his slim jim. RUDE
Don't ever use AmeriGas they're charging more than twice the normal fee for propane gas right now a very recognizable dealer in Butler is selling propane gas for 210, AmeriGas is currently selling it for $5.99 a gallon this is ridiculous
Use another supplier. Between the automated phone system and overseas customer service I spent waaayyy longer than needed to try to get information on filling 100# tanks for my shop. I could drive to my local Amerigas quicker. But I still couldn't tell you if they can fill my tanks because of communication breakdowns. Way to overcomplicate the simplest things America's. Its par for the course theses days I suppose but it makes me want to pull my hair out.
