They deserve no stars. They are committing fraud and after 3 weeks of lies and no responses I am getting ready to file a complaint with the NH Attorney Generals Office. We do not use our propane from mid April to mid November. We shut off our thermostat. I had an actual reading in June showing no usage. In July and August the estimated my usage and are cmcharging me over $100 for each month. I was sent a text from Amerigas on Tuesday, December 29, the day of the ice storm, that propane was due to be delivered on December 30, so I called my plow/sand guy asking to have my driveway sanded. The drive was well sanded at 6 am on Dec 30 before the delivery, but according to Amerigas it was too icy citing safety issues. Next, numerous phone calls to the customer service number, with no propane delivery. In my experience, they provide propane — and that’s about it. The leased tank on my property is visibly corroding, yet I’ve never received any inspection report or documentation showing it’s being maintained. This winter their auto delivery system failed and we were nearly left without heat, with kids in the house. I had to call repeatedly to resolve it, chase down the driver when he attempted to leave, and then dispute an erroneous emergency delivery fee — which was only necessary because their auto delivery failed. Shawna (the customer service rep based out of OH) was incredible! Empathetic and personable, she was able to reduce the stress of running out of propane. As first time home owners (and propane customers) this was exactly what we needed. Meanwhile, Steve the propane technician got to our residence way faster than expected and genuinely provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. I have been an Amerigas customer for 15 years or so after amerigas bought part of eastern propane. 5 years ago amerigas started charging me rent on the tank. I tried to call to expedite delivery before a 10 day trip. I was down to 23%. I got someone in Africa. I tried chatting and got someone somewhere in the US. There is no way to talk to someone in the US. I asked, they said can't do it. If there had been a snowstorm they wouldn't be able to deliver while I was gone, but I couldn't get that point across.
