I have seen Dr. Huerta many times these last few years. I find her to be a very competent, caring, and professional Dr. who takes care of me. I feel confident I am receiving the best care possible when I see her.
I was told that only one procedure was available. Was strongly sales pressured into that. Was told I could not speak with the doctor about alternatives (doctor was unwilling). They used strong sales tactics to push me into decision in a time of weakness. They wouldn't accept transfer to doctor closer to work because I mentioned I was looking into second opinions (outside this company mind you- the receptionist shared with doc and they used as reasoning to deny transfer of care within their company). The receptionist and supervisor are absolutely unprofessional and extremely rude! I called to make an appointment for my son and they refused and saying it’s a HIPPA law! Had they actually pulled up his chart they’d see I am listed!!! The supervisor was even worse and refused to talk to me after I asked why she was being so rude and I informed her the HiPPA Laws do not apply to making an appointment! She told me she was disconnecting the phone call and hung up on me. I would never recommend this clinic!!!!
Dr. Huerta is wonderful! She is easy to speak to, the appointment was very relaxed with open and easy dialogue back and forth. She explained things in ways that were easy for me to understand and was confident in the best path forward. Most importantly, Dr. Huerta interacted as a "regular" person who has exceptional medical knowledge, sharing related experiences from her own life and easily made a personal connection. I highly recommend her!
My 82 year old aunt went to see Dr. Huerta and had a horrible experience. Dr. Huerta was incredibly abrubt and absolutely DID NOT LISTEN to my aunt or her needs. She didn't take her previous health history into account, and made her feel bad for not wanting to submit herself to an endoscopy and colonoscopy in the same day. My aunt knows her body and that this could present significant health hazards to her. Such a shame that a doctor would bully an elderly patient.
