The appointment was well worth the wait, busy vet for a reason, was compassionate and knowledgeable about the problem with my Border Collie puppy, Cleo. When other vets couldn't properly address her eye/skin issues, I was recommended Animal Derm South, they got her on the right medication and treatment plan as I was hoping for. I’ve been pretty disappointed with my care at animal dermatology south. I took my little dachshund there due to skin dermatitis issues. They recommended immunotherapy injections, which I agreed to. They sent me home with a bunch of syringes, but didn’t even show me or teach me how to give the injections. If I didn’t have any medical background, then I would have absolutely no idea what I was doing. I can’t say enough about Dr. Canfield “Doc”, the other doctors we’ve seen there, and the entire amazing staff. We’ve been going there for years with my very itchy, ear infection prone Shih Tzu. I live in Tampa and it is worth the almost hour drive. Doc is on top of every study, meds and treatment for skin issues. I recently had to change primary vets due to a move and my new vet in Tampa was thrilled to hear that we see Dr. Canfield - he is well respected in the greater Tampa Bay veterinary community. My bulldog was having horrible skin, ear, and eye issues and the regular vet said he was going to have to have surgery on his eyes and ears if it didn’t improve. We were able to get in quickly and after a few months he has improved tenfold and no longer needs surgical intervention. Thank you so much for your help!

My dog Ellen is doing great with her treatment. I've had her for 2 years and her skin is doing so well she is getting fuzzy all over and in places she's never been fuzzy like her ears and feet. As a veterinary technician myself I especially appreciate their patience and kindness with Ellen who isn't the bravest little dog thanks to her history of living with a hoarder. Overall we would both recommend their services. All employees were super nice, friendly, and helpful as well.
