My husband and I have brought both our dogs here since puppies. The doctors know them well and you can tell they care about them a lot. They remember their history every time. They’ve done the spays/neuters, taken care of wellness, and helped when they’re sick or injured. I love the vets here, our dogs have been seen by Dr Hackel, Dr Balfe, and Dr Donna. Unfortunately we had to put our 16 year old companion to rest, and the staff here was amazing. They were so compassionate. They made sure my Cali girl had a nice treat plate full of whipped cream, cookies, cheese, and chocolate. We got to stay with her the whole time. They even did paw prints for us. As terrible as the situation was for my family, the staff helped make it easier. They gave us as much time as we needed to be with our girl. When your best friend is in need of the utmost care and time is of the essence, I never felt like I was making the wrong decision when an emergency came from my furry best friend.
Called twice before coming in because my dog had a mass that needed to be removed. He has had cancerous masses before that grew quickly, so I was trying to handle it with urgency. I live about 30 minutes from this clinic and normally go to a different vet, but the person I spoke with on the phone told me they could get me in for surgery for a small mass removal in about two weeks. My cat needed to be seen quickly and Animal Hosputal of Chesterfield offered me an appointment in only one hour. Jackie (who set the appointment) gave me clear instructions about preparing my cat for the visit. I believe the tests done were necessary. Treatment was begun quickly with very good instructions. It’s been 3 days and my cat appears to be doing better. I think the service was very competent & compassionate.
