The building is lovely and the apartments are spacious. Staff seems to care about the residents. Great programs for dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Excellent polished facility. Mom has dementia and staff goes well out of their way to address her needs. They keep good account of her activities and give detailed updates of her standings. Very caring bunch of professionals. Meals have variety and I've seen cook come often to query feedback on quality. Okay is not enough for those caregivers. My father in law is in the last stages of Alzheimers and was a resident in the Memory Care facility at Dogwood Forest. The staff here is amazing...they treat each resident as an individual, and tailor the care given to fit what works best for the resident. Residents are treated with respect and dignity, and the love that the staff has for each one of them is evident. A pretty facility but be ware this place is terrible. More interested in renting out the new apartments just built. Theft is rampant, caregivers do the least they can get away with. Food isn't as great as they tell you when you tour the place. Lots of turnover in staff. The attitudes of the caregivers are really bad toward the residents
This is the worst assisted living facility I have experienced. I move with business and have had my mother in 3 facilities over the past 5 years. Her room has been broken into twice by someone looking for medications. The food is very low grade. They are understaffed, the turnover at the leadership levels is very high. The physical therapy is poor and shut off my mother from getting further care because they said she wasn't progressing. I'm moving again shortly and my Mom will be as well.
