This apartment community is pretty solid overall. The grounds are well landscaped and generally well maintained. One improvement would be adding more shaded parking. The gates always stay open during the day, except Sunday, which is odd from a security standpoint. Everyone around the property is kind for the most part. Overall a great place to live. The highlight of our time at Ascend has been the quick maintenance responses, especially by Andrew! We had issues with our thermostat registering the wrong temp and Andrew stopped by almost daily to check on us and be sure it was fixed. Andrew looked into the issue to make sure it was fully resolved instead of putting a “bandaid” on it. Ascend is lucky to have someone like him who truly cares about the residents.
The policy where you can’t view the unit until it’s 100% complete is absolutely absurd. I just want you to know you lost potential tenants just because of your insurance policy issue or whatever the reason is. I don’t know if you guys don’t think people are coordinated or what not but if it’s seriously not that bad. I think somebody Interested in a year lease should be able to see a unit prior to committing but it takes you guys about two weeks before a vacant unit can be shown, which is crazy.
This is a very nice property from what I've seen by touring. However, the units will say, "available now" but you will not be able to see the units unless they are 100% ready for move in which honestly is absolutely pathetic. I have been chasing this property for about 3 months now. However, I will not commit to signing a lease without actually going inside the unit to ensure the unit is perfect for me. I want to give a huge shoutout to Andrew and Brian, our maintenance team here. They are hands down the best I’ve ever come across in an apartment community. Not only are they incredibly skilled and quick to respond to any request, but they’re also just genuinely good guys. They go out of their way every day to make sure everything is working smoothly, and they always take the time to explain what they’re fixing in a way that makes sense.
