Went to Aspen Dental in May 2025 complaining of a toothache, they did an exam and then made me sit down with a financial person who told me I needed 20 grand worth of dental work, told me I needed a root canal which I had to pay $3200 in advance and they couldnt schedule for 2 weeks. My insurance company said I should have only paid $240 and they refuse to give me refund even though they were paid by insurance also. Fraudulent billing practices, this place is all about money and not about patient care.
Aspen Dental is like a used car dealership, they promise the world and then when there is an issue, there is no one to discuss it with and no solution. When signing you up they promise that you can walk in any time with a dental emergency, well that is not the case. My dog got ahold of my dentures and I need emergency repairs, the dentures are cutting my mouth now. I am having a dental emergency. A cap came off one of my upper incisors and I called on Monday November 18th and scheduled an appointment at the Annapolis office for noon on Friday November 22nd. I missed a call from Erica on Thursday morning. She left a voicemail that said she was calling to get verbal confirmation for my appointment on Friday and asked that I call back. Dr.Kim was really nice, very patient, and informational. The only reason why I would consider anyone to go here. My experience with this clinic as a whole was doodoo. They advertised bubbly friendly staff and I didn't not get to experience that. Though the older folks did seem to love the staff I wouldn't say my experience is true for all but speaking just on mine. Aspen wrote up an overpriced and unnecessary dental plan for me. Unexpected me to follow it and pay them thousands of dollars. They even wanna charge $35 for a mouth rinse! Front desk management is unprofessional
