The providers are fine, but the billing department really needs to get their act together. They have overcharged me numerous times. At one point they overcharged me about $200 and never issued me a refund when they said they would, so I opted to continue using their services until my "credit" ran out. Now I'm getting texts and emails about different charges. The website says I owe $55, and then I get a text saying I owe a $25 copay, so I send them a check for $80. Great place and people. Everyone from the staff to the docs are wonderful to work with. Kat is awesome!!! She is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. I was nervous before my first treatment but was instantly relieved when I got there. Everyone was so helpful and understanding.
I deal with a lot of mental health issues, and overall Athena has been an astronomical help. I’m not the best for speaking up for myself until I’ve reached my breaking point, and at that point I don’t communicate effectively what’s bothering me. I was able to switch from a previous provider at Athena, and while she was genuinely a kind person it just wasn’t the right fit. Due to some sort of mix-up we were sent here for an appointment only to find out the appointment was supposed to be in Nashville. The lovely people in this office were able to get us in at this location within 10 minutes of our original appointment time. No need for rescheduling. They were kind and understanding about the mix-up. Highly recommend.
I truly enjoy and appreciate working with Blair Dean as my therapist! She is knowledgeable, down to earth, kind, and thorough. I know she is going to help me overcome my OCD!
