The Atlanta Dental Assistant School-Buford,Ga was very insightful. I loved how the teachers Sha and Roberto were both very encouraging, friendly, fun and overall supportive. They are both great teachers whom I would completely recommend this school if you’re trying to get into the dental field as an assistant.
I would just like to warn future students that this dental assisting program is extremely unorganized and rushed. Communication between advisors and the instructors made the 12 week course a nightmare. On a few occasions, instructors were late and not prepared for class. Several times, either myself or other students in my class were not able to complete tasks due to the instructor's lack of time management skills but we were still expected to be graded on those tasks with no guidance or supervision. After completing this program, I honestly wouldn’t say it was worth spending $3,000 on. Everything felt extremely rushed, and the group I was with was left feeling unprepared and lost throughout most of the 12 weeks. I came in with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short. Although it was only a one-day-a-week in-person class, I expected much better communication and structure. I am extremely disappointed in this school. For the amount of money that I paid, we did not get a proper graduation. Just a sign, ONE cap and gown for us to share amongst each other to take pictures and a free goggles and we didn’t even have a small little ceremony or get to invite at least our parents. Aside from that, we did not get the same instructor. This has been a wonderful and educational program ! I really enjoyed the labs and class and feel prepared for my first job in the dental field ! Love Mrs. Shae she is a wonderful and bright teacher !
