My cat’s sudden onset of pretty serious lymphoma was jarring. In a matter of 5 days, he went from healthy, to having masses tested, to losing complete hind leg function. I did not have a great experience at the ER while waiting to get into oncology. However, I called all over on a Monday in a 50 mile radius, and was not able to get in for weeks anywhere. Dr. Petra’s was wonderful. It was a very good experience from scheduling through the entire appointment. The techs were great and very loving towards my dog. Dr Petra’s explained everything thoroughly and we discussed the available options for diagnostic testing and when the testing was completed he once again explained everything clearly and completely. I will not hesitate to to use this facility again if needed.
We couldn’t have found a better place to bring our beloved Bella for her cancer treatments. Here we are having to revisit after 5 months and a very scary and very bad reaction to medication. Dr. Rusk discussed our options and helped us come to a decision about what was best for Bella’s quality of life rather than what was best for the clinic. He/the staff and even the other patients parents were all compassionate and loving towards our Bella. I would recommend them over and over again!!!
Dr. McLewee at AVIMO is the most caring, thorough, brilliant vet I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and is truly invested in the health and happiness of her patients and their owners. The vet techs are a joy to work with as well, and the receptionists are professional and courteous. Would give this practice 10 stars if I could. Our cat has been seeing Dr. Frank for 4 years for Inflammatory bowel disease. She is wonderful to work with and is extremely thorough. Recently our other cat became ill and we saw Dr. McLewee, who also matched the level care and expertise that we’ve come to expect from AVIM. The staff is also excellent and shows care for our pets. I would highly recommend this practice.
