Luddites trapped in the dark ages. Their online banking looks like something out of the 90's and lets you do very little. Biggest problem here is that they only allow online transfers of $750. Opened a business account with them and there was no mention of this limit. You tell me in what world a $750 limit on a business account is remotely feasible? They also have terrible customer service - get the extension for your local branch if you want to be helped.

We apologize for your past experience and thank you for your feedback. We do appreciate artisans' creativity but also appreciate the opportunity to serve our growing communities and would value the opportunity to earn back your trust.
Horrible customer service and business practice. I have been a ATFCU customer for almost 20 years and never really had an issue until recently. My husband and I applied for a home equity loan and on the day of closing the senior loan officer, Jerry Sanders claimed they "lost" our good faith estimate and we were asked to sign all new documentation and when we were about to close, I realized that the terms and rate were changed. In addition, I found out that our original application was altered after we signed the applicatio... read more

We understand that your Home Equity experience was not the caliber of experience you expected or that we want for our members. We appreciate your feedback on this past experience and would welcome the opportunity to serve as your credit union. All feedback, regardless of time, is valuable to us as we seek to improve and serve our members.
Summary: Terrible Credit Union - Base level employees that are very dull (we're talking box of rocks). I have banked at several CUs in several states over 50 years, and Austin Telco does not even deserve one star. Do yourself a favor and bank anywhere else. Or, disregard and then regret it later. Up to you. We joined ATFCU to get a loan on a boat, and they offered an attractive rate. That's about the end of the good news. To close on the loan, we had to jump through a number of hoops, but we have good credit, and so ... read more

Thank you for your previous honest feedback on the experience you encountered. This is not the experience we want for our members and understand that it was frustrating. We missed an opportunity back then and invite you to try us again, if we can be of any help with a loan moving forward.
This is the 2nd time in a few months using their credit card with less than a 100 dollar charge and balance that the charge got denied due to Austin Telco determining fraud. You cannot use this as a credit card people! The programming department suck! Do not use unless you want to get denied every time you want to use their lame card. This has cost me hours of work to try to rectify not to mention embarrassing.
Business response:
We apologize for any past challenges you have faced with your card experience. We continuously work with our payment partners to improve approval rates of authentic payments while still finding ways to prevent fraudulent attempts by bad actors. We've improved this process over the years and never want our members to experience unnecessary declines. Thank you for your feedback.
Only if you have no other choice. For just a place to hold your money probably just fine. If you need anything beyond that, forget it. Just went through a very convoluted attempt at a used car loan. Long story short, the situation was at best the result of laziness and incompetence; at worst the result of outright deception. Either way, I no longer want to do business with them. In the end, our other bank came through with the loan for the car in one day. If Telco peeps are reading this: make your loan policies clear... read more

Our purpose is member service and never to lose a member or negatively impact your borrowing experience. We would welcome the opportunity to earn back your trust and to serve as your credit union.
I used this credit union for four years and only started having problems with them recently. I made a cash deposit in the night drop to cover my rent check, but somehow, my rent check was able to be posted to my account before my deposit, even though the bank wasn't open at the time the check posted. How does that even happen? I called them and said that they needed to refund me the nsf fee for paying the check because the money was in the night drop and its not my fault that they chose to process the check first. So, sh... read more

We apologize for this past experience and we never want a member to experience unclear or rude communication. In some cases, paper checks were converted to electronic transactions by the receiving entity and that could have caused the processing advancement. We understand that our assistance with you at the time did not meet your expectations. Thank you for your past trust and we would welcome the opportunity to earn it back.
Love Telco except for website support. No support after business hours. Login problems and reset procedures fail. Am shopping for competitive credit union with 24/7 website support.

We've updated our website and digital banking over the years and advanced tools available to our members. Thank you for your feedback and past trust, we welcome the opportunity to serve you again.
By far without a doubt the WORST credit union/bank that I have ever dealt with. I paid my loan ahead two years and their collectors started calling me for more money within six weeks. They now call me at one day late (but I'm actually ahead two years). They are a bunch of morons. Buyer beware.
Business response:
We apologize for any confusion on a loan payment schedule in the past. We would be happy to visit with you about our loan payment schedules and how payments are applied. Thank you for your feedback.
I came here after being put on checksystems by wells fargo (i refused to pay for an account because my card had been stolen and i had the police reports to prove it, but wells fargo sucks, even to their employees!) so i went to ATFCU. I wanted to rebuild my credit so I took out 2 secure loans. I am not sure how the hell the add things up, but in a secure loan I should give them the $1000 and they should give it back to me over a certain predetermined amount of time (minus interest). I worked for wells fargo, I know how banki... read more
